Okay, I really love this mod, I have it on my single player and use it all the time. But, I have a server with my friend where I host it. I have tried several other ways to try and host a server, even the port forwarding which didn't want to work for me since my brother has the say on who messes with the Verizon internet and for what. And long story short, he wouldn't let me do the port forwarding and my friend isn't able to either because his cousin doesn't want him messing with her internet either. So, we got stuck with Hamachi in the end which seemed to work for both of us, because the other server options I tried that were free it wouldn't work on his side of things.
Now, ignoring my rambling before, I just wanted to explain my situation with the server before someone posted trying to say why I'm using crappy Hamachi for it. Hamachi isn't bad though, I like it and I haven't had any problems so far with it.
My main question of all this rambling, is there a way to use this mod on a Hamachi server?
I have seen youtube videos that show you how to install mods on a Hamachi server, I tried it a few times and only got one mod to work once. Though my computer cut off because our electricity went out for a bit, and when I tried again it wouldn't work. I was so upset, but now that I try to install mods on our server it doesn't show up even though I do everything correct. But others seem to get it to work on their Hamachi server, I don't know how but I really want to try and get your mod on my server cause it's so fun and I want my friend to be able to use it together.
I really would like some help with this, I want mods so bad on our server so it's not so everyday same thing going on type deal. It'll really liven it up some. And before anyone even comments about it, I am unemployed at the moment, I recently got laid off because my old job closed down, so I am in the process of looking for work which is harder than I thought after 5 years of working at the same place. And my friend is also not employed, though he's not employed yet because it's his choice cause he wants to finish school first without dealing with the stress of work on top of it. Which is understandable, so we're both freaking broke pretty much. So paying monthly for a server just isn't happening, cause I did think of it, but until one of us gets a job, that isn't happening.
I love this mod, and I've been using it for a while. However, I just got the newest version hoping that one of my greatest issues with this mod would be resolved, but it wasn't. And that is the fact that you could be absolute best friends with somebody and they somehow hate every one of your jokes and everything you say makes them hate you. It seems that if you have a negative relationship with someone, it is impossible to gain relationship points by chatting or joking. Why not make it the opposite for relationships with around 25+ points? That way you would have a higher chance of making a good conversation or telling a good joke as your relationship improves. I mean, if I'm at 85 points with a guy they are bound to like my sense of humor and we will be able to have good conversation every time. Yet it seems even with a relationship that well, the people I have the best relationships with only gain positive points from chatting/joking 25% of the time. In the end, I almost ALWAYS have to gift just to get ANY positive relationship progress. Maybe it's just me. Perhaps an in-game GUI where you can upgrade "Social Skills" (to increase the chance of a positive chat) and "Humor" (to increase the chance of a positive joke) in exchange for EXP would be a good idea. Just a suggestion. Keep up the great work! ;D
While I have no idea how Hamachi works, it looks as if it doesn't affect the actual server, meaning you should be able to mod it.
I'm assuming you have Minecraft 1.6.2, by the way.
Now, in the folder you've put your server in, run the file called minecraftforge-universal-1.6.2-[more numbers]. The server will start like normal, and you should see a mods folder and several other files be created in the server's folder. Close the server, download MCA, and drop the file you download into that mods folder.
Start the server, and do whatever you need to do to get it to run through Hamachi. When it's done loading the world, you should see "MCA: Minecraft Comes Alive is running" in the server console.

The old way of gaining hearts was thrown out with the addition of moods and traits. You must choose the right interaction at the right time in order to gain hearts.
Since this can make it very easy to gain hearts with the right combination of interactions, mood, and trait, you will have a lesser chance of success the more you keep on interacting with them, until eventually you will keep failing and never succeed. Once you leave them alone for a bit, you will be able to interact with them again and have a chance of gaining hearts.
I'm using Misa's TRP that changes faces and Tinker's Construct that I think is adding in another villager. Misa's is not being a problem per se for this, however the new villager is showing up as a pink skin testificate. So, I was wondering how MCA handles testificates now. If I should disable the new village generation from Tinker's construct if there is a conflict.

MCA shouldn't overwrite a new villager from another mod.

Thank you for trying to help me, I did what you said, but forge isn't installing into the server folder. So I'll have to ask for help on the forge website.
You'll need to update MCA. If you're on 1.5.2, there's nothing you can do.
I'm on the latest version. And the problem was fixed, maybe they were too tired during the night. But the problem is on the next day, they were still at the "Tired" state.

Make sure you have the .jar version of the server. Use the Forge installer:
Forge for Minecraft v1.6.2: Forge v9.10.0.789 Installer for Minecraft v1.6.2
Now, in the folder you've put your server in, run the file called minecraftforge-universal-1.6.2-[more numbers]. The server will start like normal, and you should see a mods folder and several other files be created in the server's folder. Close the server, download MCA, and drop the file you download into that mods folder.

The chance of success and amounts of hearts gained/lost is now based on whatever their mood and trait is, which is all explained on these pages:

When myself and my daughter try to join we get a "You Don't have FML installed, you cannot connect to this server."
Is this saying I don't have forge installed? Because I have ran it and patched my local client.
