Well, you can change their name, skin, and ocupation.
Ok then. Made a thread to the installer. It does not download anything, but forge is in the download. You still have to download Minecraft Comes Alive .
I really like this mod. When is SMP support coming out? My friend wants to play a server with MCA on it together.
I do have the right version of forge and i did try to reinstall like 5 times.
(after a while i got fed up with this mod and removed it then i tryed some other mods and got the same error report so I don't really know if I should be posting here but it's worth a try).
Just 3 questions tho.
What's the point of the sleep feature for the NPCs?
So far all it adds seems to be the need to make a slightly altered version of evrey skin and more time taking to mass-edit skins into/ out of the mod...
(Unless there's a secret function I'm missing, as it doesn't seem to benefit, help, punish or hinder the player or the NPCs in any apparent way so far.)
Will you be adding "default" villagers to possible NPCs?
Altho I do like the couple extra proffesions, I really wish not all of them were in a profession, a town only needs so many of each, you know?
On the subject, will there be an ability to add custom professions in the future/ are there any plans to implement said feature?
Sorry if I'm asking a lot at once, really like the mod, been following it for quite a while, but only recently got around to making an account to be able to coment, so I'm a bit extra curious about it.
Poor Tbone :(ok this isn't in the Glitches area yet, but even if you have a girl, It says It's a boy! and the only way you can tell if it's a girl or not is if you don't have to it's a girl achievement, which is fairly annoying :/

Why do you think it isn't working?
1. MCA changes villagers into humans. Humans...need sleep....so........
2. Change 'Overwrite Testificates' to 'OFF'. Then you will have default villagers. More professions are not planned. Use the villager editor to change their skin, name and profession.
3. MORE PROFESSION ARE NOT PLANNED.

You can. Language files are stored in config/MCA/Language. They can be opened with any text editor and changed.

The point of sleeping is just to add a bit of realism. Sure it requires more editing, but come on, it's mostly just 6 or 8 pixels that are changed. Minecraft's testificates stay inside (mostly) during the night, so why not make them sleep as well?
In my opinion everyone should have specific job within the village. Someone shouldn't just be a "villager", they're not contributing to the town at all!
There are no plans for more professions. There's not really any more room to add more.

Editing those couple of pixels in a single skin is easy, however if I want to add and remove multiple skins per say, this becomes a bit problem, when removing many I have to remove its "pair" as well, which is a tad annoying when you're deleting a few and have to search through dozens of skins, considering the amount of skins there's by default already.
Plus if I want to add many skins, editing a couple of pixels per skin becomes more time consuming than you'd think.
Also again, when adding/ deleting skins, one has to make sure all skins have a correct pair, and make sure they're all named correctly, having to go through the default amount of skins is a bit of a task already, when working with more extra skins...

True, however, having 10 librarians, 5 priests and 4 smiths, seems rather...odd as well, for lack of a better word.
A town only needs so many people working at the library.

Was asking as it may allow people to manually add extra professions added by mods or the such.
