How do you get a villager to do different types of work besides cooking and combat? For example, Farming, Woodcutting, Mining, Hunting, and Fishing is unavailable for me.
So I know this issue is brought up a lot in this mod, but…
I seem to have lost my wife. I have crafted the whistle and tried using it around the location I last saw her, but no luck. I considered using the mca revive command, but I have no clue where to find a “uuid” or even what that means.
I am on a Mac, if that’s relevant, and the last place I saw her was in another dimension (I’m also using the Mystcraft mod), so I don’t know if that would affect anything.
To be clear, the issue is NOT that I want to divorce my wife and find someone else—there are specific items she was carrying that are impossible to replace. Any help that can be offered is appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Edit: My Minecraft version is 1.7.10 and MCA is 5.2.2
hey, so here's a few bugs I've encountered while playing on 1.12.2 with MacOS, I dunno if this bug occurs on any other versions, but here goes:
Whenever I start a Family through the Crystal Ball, the Kids(if any) will ALWAYS be missing texture, leaving only a shadow standing on the ground. And IF the kid gets killed, the whole game just goes black, the whole screen, complete darkness, not even the HUD or pause menu are visible, leaving only sound. When I used NPC editor on them, they won't be assigned a skin, and the game will CRASH if I try to change their skin. So far any of the kids that got spawned through babies are completely normal.
None of the villages have any children living in them(I think I remember a few years back you can encounter them quite a lot.).
ALSO, I've noticed that characters assigned as Warriors won't have weapons and can't equip weapons or fight, as well only have a tiny bit of health unlike guards, not sure if intentional, but should definitely be changed.
There should also be an ability to either recover a lost broken ring(and any death items), or a way to divorce dead people(like maybe a Lawyer NPC who can change status directly). As I find myself constantly losing those items(or the chest won't spawn correctly) and can't marry anyone else...Perhaps you should just tie the revival process all into the Staff of life, like if you use it it'll show you the list of revival candidates, and you can choose from the list, not unlike the Whistle that can teleport an NPC to you.
Also!! If I change a spouse's occupation through the editor...they'll stop being your spouse BUT you're still married to the version of them prior to their change.
AND sometimes the spouse assigned by Crystal ball will be listed as (not married) and will have zero affection toward you, and yet if you tried to marry them they'll say you're already married to someone else...
kinda feels like all these issues can be easily solved if there's a way to just change the married status directly through some debug-gy solution. Since Minecraft doesn't have a Checkpoint system, any of these mistakes are pretty fatal to the save file....
Is there a way to disable structure spawn from the orb? I want to use this on an already existing multiplayer server so i don't want anyone accidentally breaking builds.

You can disable the orb being given to new players in the MCA config.
Hello everyone, who can tell me why the game always crashes when I place a ring of the dead spouse or the doll of the dead child on the floor to revive it?

Hello gentlemen, does anyone have the solution for the error of the invisible npc? game in version is 1.12.2 and looked for some solution in many forums in spite of talking about it I did not find any solution, they say it has no fix because the mod is abandoned but I've seen people on YouTube who use it without any problem in the same version of the game and even with many other mod at the same time. What happens to me more specifically is that the villagers see themselves with black skin and purple arms, now when the optifine is on it gets worse since they are totally invisible and only the shadow is seen at their feet and the general vision of the game turns red, also the game is lag to the point of falling at 10 fps to freeze the image completely in spite of being only 1 npc but if I look to the opposite side the game is walking as if nothing (it is pretty crazy situation xd) and my pc is an i5 with a 1060 so performance problem is not at all.
Does anyone know of any solution or do you have any idea why this is happening? Any kind of help works.
Since the forums will soon be no more, we wanted to ensure that people are aware we are continuing work on MCA. Further discussion should take place on the mod's CurseForge page.
I love this mod! It is one of my favorites, especially paired with MrCrayfish's furniture mod. In the next update, could you add a feature where villagers change into a swimsuit in the water? That would make for great fun in a pool/river/lake house!
Hi folk I hope someone answers
I used the crystal ball and selected Live in a Village.
I am now in a village but there are no chests in any of the buildings and only a few villagers.
Do I need to add the chests and if so which one, The Normal or Locked
Is there anything else I need to do.
Thankyou
Anyone know how to change MCA so you can use villager skins that are 64x64?
Me Ajude, pois quando vou baixar para versão 1.12.2,diz que tem malware e vírus!
if you are using the official donwload links dont worry about virus

Please respond as soon as possible.
Hi, anyone know where I can get an old download link for Minecraft 1.2.5? I really want to add it to my tekkit
I’m wondering if you can modify personality’s or add them?
Edit: Nevermind, I found the way to do it

Hi i have 1.12.2 Villagers keep over spawning 50++ villagers in city
Is there a way to disable structure spawn from the orb? I want to use this on an already existing multiplayer server so i don't want anyone accidentally breaking builds.
You can disable the orb being given to new players in the MCA config.
Yeah, for some reason villagers keep way overspawning. It makes it unplayable.

Any kind of help works.
now that the forum will end, where will this mod be announced in the future?

Hi all,
Main page has been updated with a small write-up for the latest 6.0.0-beta release. Check it out on CurseForge: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/minecraft-comes-alive-mca
That would make for great fun in a pool/river/lake house!
how do you marry another player in the new update
