Why different files for client & server? If i host a server with the same version i wan´t jo join - which files do i have to use?
Can i make my own discs?
You can make your own disks if you know java, and about the different versions, client is your your single player and server is for the minecraft_server.jar.
Update to 1.1 would be nice. This actual version won´t work with 1.1?
Is there an easy way to edit in java. For example to just change 1 cole with 1 wood, etc. and the oggfilename - all other things could be the same?
Yeah that is perfectly fine, I don't mind at all. To edit all of this just mod a 1.0 jar and decompile it with MCP. I'd suggest looking up modloader modding tutorials if you don't know anything about it.
About the 1.1 update, I cannot find my 1.0 java source files, I'll update this ASAP, but it'll take me a bit longer since I have to re-write the entire code now, sorry for the delay. Also, I will be adding the new song "Homies Unite!" in the next update! :biggrin.gif:
If i host a server with the mod installed, do the users(clients) have to install the mod? Or only the server?
If only the client has installed the mod and wan´t to joint on a server without the mod - what will be then?
Edit
With which program do you have createt the class-file? I can open it with a decompiler add a new disk, but i can´t compile it back to *.class
how to know whicht number stands for which item?
ModLoader.AddRecipe(new dk(Musicdisk4), new Object[] { " X ", "X#X", " X ", Character.valueOf('#'), new dk(acy.aV, 1, 5), Character.valueOf('X'), yy.ap });
i only know this command, where the item is written in clear:
Charakter.valueOf('#'), Block.dirt
Installation
What do i have to do with the files form the archive?
mod_homies.class in the minecraft.jar
resources in the folder
SIYR in ???
Every player on the server will need the client installed to their Minecraft.jar to join the server, if they don't have it then cannot join. The server one goes into your (Or if your not the server host, their) minecraft_server.jar. You will still need to have the client installed to your minecraft.jar to join your server.
Code
The reason the code of my mod is difficult to understand is because you need to use something called Minecraft Coder Pack (MCP) it will decompile the class files into .java files to make them easy to understand like the code you have there. You may also recompile it when your done.
Installation
The SIYR folder goes into your minecraft.jar aswell, it contains the image files for the record disks.
Upon typing this long response, I'll include a installation.txt in the next update and update the OP.
Not being a troll or nothing, Don't you need Stuck In Your Radios Permission First?
Technicallyyes, but really no. The songs are copyrighted by the band Stuck In Your Radio, so it is possible for them to get you in trouble. However, Sly has said himself, that they don't care what anyone does with the music once he releases it. So everything's fine, as far as I know.
A lot of other mods don´t have server-files. You only have to change the minecraft.jar(so clientfile). So that was my problem. Thx, now i know, that the Minecraft_Server.jar has to be updated, too.
But then i have a problem. I host the map with bukkit, but bukkit don´t uses the minecraf-server.jar... how can i use your mod with bukkit-server?
Whats the difference between MC 1.0 & MC 1.1 - so that you have to edit your code?
The only difference from 1.0 to 1.1 is adding the "Homies unite!" record, however, I'm getting load() function errors from the multiplayer version, I don't get why either. Also this mod doesn't work with bukkit, sorry :/. I want to get it coded for bukkit but I don't know ANY of the coding for bukkit or how decompile and recompile since MCP doesn't work with it. Also OP mean "Opening post"
Finally updated! Sorry for all the delays!
Change log:
1.0 - Inital release
1.1 - Updated to 1.1, adding "Homies Unite!" and "Stuck in Your Radio" modified all record image files.
Just as the title of the topic suggests, this mod adds record disks for the band Stuck In Your Radio.
=Requirements for the mod=
Modloader
Audiomod
ModLoaderMP (Even if your just playing single player, you still need it)
WARNING
If people on your server do NOT have this installed to their client, they cannot join!

Orange: Stuck in Your Radio
That was the plan! Also if there are any other Stuck in your radio / homie suggestions that I could add to this mod, please let me know!

SIYR server is the server zip file, just drag and drop the class files in.
