Feature Request: Find Recipes requiring a specific item.
For example, in AE2 most recipes that require a Fluix Crystal can use either Fluix Crystal or Pure Fluix Crystal. The exception is the Controller, which can use ONLY Pure Fluix Crystal. Now if you search NEI for recipes using a Pure Fluix Crystal, you get both recipes that MUST use a Pure Fluix Crystal, and recipes for which one option is a Pure Fluix Crystal. The only way to tell the difference is to compare the Recipe List for Pure Fluix Crystal against the recipe list for Fluix Crystal, or watch the recipe for a few moments to see if NEI flips back and forth between the options.
I'm wondering if NEI could have a feature to help find recipes that require a specific item, versus recipes that can be made from a number of alternatives versions of an item. I think it would be useful.
Your first ever post on minecraftforums.net, and you waste it... on this? Really?
Also there's literally the word "Downloads" hyperlinked three lines down from the top of the first post of this thread. Needless to say that links takes you to CB's website, and the downloads for all his mods are there. Remember you need the core mode no matter which mod of his you use.
I have been crashing every time I attempt to load CodeChickenCore and NEI on 1.8 minecraft. I am running forge version 11.14.3.1450 and have also tried using forge version 11.14.3.1502 with the same crash. What happens is I will download the recommended versions of CCC and NEI and when I launch the game it will load but before it reaches the main menu it crashes showing me the crash log. The same also happens with the lasest versions of CCC and NEI. Here is my crash log.CRASH LOG

you are using dev versions, those don't work outside a developers environment.
Throwing CodeChickenCore (obfuscated or dev) into the /jars/mods folder of your mcp environment will enable you to throw any other obfuscated mod into your mods folder and play with it in your dev environment.
Yes this means you can test your mods with NEI in mcp just by throwing NEI and CCC into your mods folder.
When I tried this, it was asking me to specify the directory with the MCP mappings. What do I select?

I want dis but I can't see the recipe/items list. YES, I pressed o, YES, I use 1.8. YES, I used CodeChickenCore and YES, it appeared in the list of active mods on the main menu. YES, I have tested all GUI scales and YES, umm... I don't remember.

Everyone has O.C.D. and A.D.H.D. and Autism and so on its just a matter of how much that makes people say you have it...
I have all 3 where people will say i have them... people hate on me for it...
Heres more accurate explanations of each:
O.C.D. makes you hate not symmetrical things if you have alot and youll tend to repeat things in a specific pattern and hate slight change...
A.D.H.D. makes you be extremely into one specific thing while also connecting things like a cat to radiation...
Autism is literally a label that people use as insults to people who are really good at math and science related things and love those things...
Every once in a while the wireless redstone receivers stop working and when i check it, it shows the right number but doesnt work so i change one number ahead and then change back and it works again. this is very annoying because i got to dig up my redstone system every time to reset these wireless receivers. hope this is fixable. using latest versions: CodeChickenCore-1.7.10-1.0.7.47-universal, WR-CBE-1.7.10-1.4.1.9-universal.
Exactly, you do not seem to be very clear here. Do you have NEI installed? This Forum thread is about all of ChickenBones' mods (CCC, CC, Enderstorage, NEI, Translocators and WR-CBE) and we assume that you want to install NEI.
Ok, sorry. I have CCC and NEI in the mods folder. I want NEI. Sorry if I wasn't clear.
For some reason which is unknown, I can't see the items on the right but I can see the options bar and search bar.
I have pressed 'o', I'm on 1.7.10 using CCC, CC, Enderstorage & NEI + a couple of other mods and I can't seem to find out how to get the items on the right. I can find out recipes by pressing 'r' on blocks in my inventory. Can someone please help!

it might be a keybind issue... maybe?
see if the standard keybind has been changed away from the default letter "o", or is possibly conflicting with another mod that also uses the letter "o"... if so, you can either use the new letter instead of "o", or reset one of the conflicting mods keybinds.
That's a really obscure thing, I hope that's changed in the future to default to off so that nobody has to spend 2 hours Googling it like I did...
actually it won't be... from way back it was originally set to allow cheats by default and too many people complained that it was TOO EASY to cheat items in, so the mod authors changed it to where you CAN'T cheat in items etc. unless you CONSCIOUSLY, KNOWINGLY make that happen... the complaints about it being too easy to cheat in stuff have been eliminated (yeah for them!)... however, now they get people complaining about it being too DIFFICULT to cheat in stuff, because they didn't document that process very well (even if they did, people tend to NOT read stuff anyways, oh well)... and we get massive amounts of people asking the same things over and over... "I'm in cheat mode but i still can't get items, Why!?!?"... well the answer is that they STILL aren't actually IN cheat-mode yet because they didn't UNcheck that hidden global "W"... they can't win for losing... no matter which way they do it, there will be complaints for/about the other way...
I'm having an issue on my server. Whenever other players in the server open an inventory, NEI crashes their clients, but mine never crashes. Here's a link to my modpack with ALL the mods listed:

I'll try to get them to send me one. Sometimes, they just get kicked and a message that says "A fatal error has occured" appears

Thanks! From doing this I was able to get a crash pointing directly to moduler systems, which when removed, fixed my problem.

Can someone please help!
it might be a keybind issue... maybe?
see if the standard keybind has been changed away from the default letter "o", or is possibly conflicting with another mod that also uses the letter "o"... if so, you can either use the new letter instead of "o", or reset one of the conflicting mods keybinds.
actually it won't be... from way back it was originally set to allow cheats by default and too many people complained that it was TOO EASY to cheat items in, so the mod authors changed it to where you CAN'T cheat in items etc. unless you CONSCIOUSLY, KNOWINGLY make that happen... the complaints about it being too easy to cheat in stuff have been eliminated (yeah for them!)... however, now they get people complaining about it being too DIFFICULT to cheat in stuff, because they didn't document that process very well (even if they did, people tend to NOT read stuff anyways, oh well)... and we get massive amounts of people asking the same things over and over...
