I have some ideas for Machines. Would you like them?
I've also got a few bugs to report, as well as me suggesting you to continue updating 1.7.10 alongside 1.8, because there's no 1.8 Forge for servers, so I can't update the server to any 1.8 installment.

Sure, fire away with those ideas. As for 1.7.10, once the 1.8 update is done I'll port the changes back o 1.7. And please let me know of those bugs you mentioned.
- Firing a Sinisite bow crashes the game.
- Mining stone or cobble with a fortune Fyrite pickaxe allows it to be duped, as it drops multiple stone.
- (Bug with Sinhika's bark, Sinhika, please read this.) You can't make tin/copper/steel/bronze spuds using that material from another mod, it only works with Simpleores' version of it.
Ideas (6):
- (Machines Unreleated) Tinkers' Construct stuff! (See the PM I sent you.)
- Adamantium furnace; Cooks a bit faster, and is fuel efficient as a Mythril furnace.
- Onyx Furnace Change; Make it smelt a lot faster. It's made of a really expensive material. (Maybe close to the Nether Furnace speed, but not quite)
- Sinisite Furnace; Combined abilities from Nether Furnace, Onyx Furnace and Mythril furnace. It can cook as fast as a regular Nether Furnace, too, but can also use Nether Furnace fuels AND normal ones.
- Thyrium furnace; Combined abilities from Adamantium and Mythril furnace.
NETHERROCKS:
- Ashstone Furnace; Cooks a bit faster than a Nether Furnace. Uses normal fuel.
If you use any of these, credit is appreciated greatly, but not required.
Also, I moved my image of the Faithful textures into a spoiler.
Also, I have an idea for a Ruby addon. Or it could just be part of the main mod as a bonus.
Here's the idea in a spoiler to prevent a large text wall. I put their textures as attachments to this post. I'll try for a better ore texture if you want. This ore's an emerald recolor. I also ripped the ruby from unused game files.
Biome Specific?: Yes. Cold Taiga Biomes.
Vien Size?: 1. Just like Emeralds.
Rarer than Emeralds?: Yes. By a lot.
Usage?: Villager trading. They could take Rubies for valuable items, like Sinisite chunks, Onyx tools or Diamond Tools. Villagers do not sell them in trades, and could have Aesthetics stairs and bricks.
Other info: If you want, I could make it Sapphire instead of Ruby (PM me for that), although Rubies were shafted, it would be cool to give an unused feature a use instead of keeping it swept under the carpet.
Oh gawd, I'm going to have to learn 1.8 coding now, aren't I?
Yep, all the json files required for EVERY block and item is a true pain. Probably a step in the right direction in terms of a proper modding API, but quite inconvenient at the moment in comparison to 1.7 coding.
The blocks in this mod make stone sounds when the vanilla blocks make metal sounds. So yeah. Like the vanilla blocks make high pitched sounds and the blocks in this mod make lower pitched ones.

It's a bug that is more than likely being fixed when he ports changes made in 1.8 back to 1.7.10. It only happens with the Sinisite bow, the rest should be fine.
Little hard to see what the signs say, but it's pretty self explanatory. This is my update To-Do in terms of complete blocks/items for SimpleOres so far:

There's a 1.8 Forge, just not a 1.8.X Forge.

Just some images showing the changes I've made to the config. Trying to include a lot more things you can change in the new config.
For example, for blocks.

Oops, fixed it.
Despite them being different links, they are still identical. The only exception is one has the cursor in a different spot.

Argh. I fixed it properly this time.
EDIT: 1.8 block models are fun...
Yay for giant purple and black checkered block! Also, what block is that?

Bronze should require 4 copper and not one. IRL, bronze is only 12% tin.
