Ahh, what an update! I'll certainly be trying this out, especially considering the awesome prospect of dual-wielding!
Since the shields have been revamped, it only seems logical for me to update the Zelda shields pack for Battlegear, with the proper nesting of folders and everything.
So I did just that! I kept the packs for the former shield mod where they were in case anyone wanted to use them still.

Awesome, knew you would update soon. Also I have actually made it so it ill now take the images from texture packs rather than the mod zip. So now it would probably be best to load the textures into your favourite texture pack (of the require resolution) rather that the zip

On an unrelated and admittedly very odd note, it seems Battlegear is incompatible with iChun's Portal Gun mod. The two work fine together unless you try equip weapons for Battlegear. I imagine it has to do with the left and right mouse buttons both being used.
So I guess my question is this: will there be a sort of dual-wielding blacklist, so certain items ca'n't be dual-wielded so as to prevent the game crashing? Or is there an unsolvable incompatibility between portals and dual-wielded battle axes?

Installing the mod (after navagating through so many adlinks he uses which pissed me off) it looks like the problem is how he accesses the inventory. I think i would easily be able to fix this by decompiling his mod and making the relevant changes, however I would need is permission 1st (and I would rather just request he makes the change in his next update)
looks like i have too many mods installed :sad.gif: is there anyway to know which one of them conflicts with your mod except reinstalling them one by one? :tongue.gif:

Thanks for the heads up. I will add it to the list. Does it crash or just not work correctly? Personally I couldn't even get dynamic lights working. If I do get a fix out I will allow torches to be held in the off hand.
EDIT: just got it working and think the problem is similar to that of portal gun. I will look into issuing a patch (but I may need AtomicStryker's permission 1st)

Sorry that would be against the law. Re-read the post and make sure you follow all the instructions carefully. If you have other mods, that could be your problem.
Yes, it would be a crash. I posted some of the crash log in my original post. When I tried to post the whole thing it said it was too long. Only happens when I try to move to your GUI though, otherwise everything works just fine. Course it might be that the only way to get Dynamic lights working these days is to use MCpatcher. That wouldn't have anything to do with it would it?

Nah it works with MCPatcher. Also seems dynamic lights causes the same crash. I have actually already written a patch for dynamic lights. I just want to ask the author for permission before posting it
found it: Obsidian Tools. Also it's working with doggy talents after removing it. testing some more though
But can you please make it compatible with swords+ ? :laugh.gif: i mean being able to dual wield them :biggrin.gif: cause that's the only problem and some of them don't need the right click. That is planned but not for a while. I will release magic in conjunction with my mage units for mine & blade. This won't be for a long time yet though.
I was thinking that the shield mod was already impressive, and then you push it further. Will download it ASAP.
But the screenshots got me worried: in the inventory screen, it shows the new equip slots, with the shield and armor, but what about the 2x2 crafting grid missing there? Is than an different screen from the inventory? If not, how will we make a crafting table then?
You know how you are always saying that anything that has a right click you can't duel weild? well why not just make it when you press q it simulates you right clicking your left weapon and when you press e it simulates you right clicking your right weapon. This could allow for blocking as well as other mods using a right click ability.

I actually have an optifine fix made on my version. I am just looking at also doing Smartmoving before uploading
