Alright, Can anyone help me? I have used the aether mod in the past and it was amazing. After a few tries, I even got it to change the spawning frequency of Aechor plants. But now, in my new world, the only mobs I've seen are aechor plants and Aerbunnies. Not a single phyg or flying cow. No Moas or Swets. Is this just because there's not enough flat grass? That is, do Moas need, say, a 3x3 square of grass to spawn?
I made this text clear and bigger. Don't ask for an update! It's annoying and you don't even know that he has to do a big bunch of code for this to work. He has to translate the blocks,etc. And the bigger the mod the more time it will take to update it. Includes the translation now...
i am just confused. it seems a lot of mods updated faster than they should have. if you do update, could you add something like "world type: aether" if you don't want to that is fine

Search for "christmasContent".
Hit Next for the second result. The line starting with # is a comment.
Change the line "christmasContent=true" to "christmasContent=false"

Arrows mod is incompatible with Aether. It's possible more are, and the Arrows mod was the first to hit an Error.
I have SPC. Is the mod compatible with aether at all? What would happen if I went to the Aether but didn't use SPC? Also, when I dragged the class files into my .jar, the game crashed. is this because I didn't have the SPC patcher? It wouldnt even let me lode the game. :angry.gif:
Single Player Commands had worked for me so either you installed it incorrectly or you have an updated minecraft.

Not only is arrow mod incompatible, but you will be recieving a very nasty saving chunks error as soon as you attempt to enter the Twilight Forest.
Hi Aether Mod Team!
I played the original release of the Aether mod for many hours. I was very excited to see a new version of the aether mod come out! So far I have racked up about 20 hours of play time specifically in the aether. Overall the experience was very positive, but there are a few things that I would like to point out.
1. The mod makes tons of "spooky cave" sounds when you are a certain distance from Bronze tier dungeons. This is fine, but I made the unfortunate mistake of building a large house right over 2 bronze dungeons. The sounds never stop, so I am forced to turn my sound off. The sounds even continued after I discovered and defeated both bosses.
2. The first time you enter the Aether, all the animals in render distance are balanced properly. Specifically, I saw Aechor plants, aerbunnies, a herd of flying pigs, a few sheepuffs, a few zephyrs, and a few aerwhales. Within 5 minutes, all the aerbunnies, flying pigs, sheepuffs, and aechor plants had despawned, and I was stuck with just zephyrs, aerwhales, and a constant barrage of cockatrices (one even spawned in my house!). I forced these 3 mobs off in the config file, and now the only things I ever (EVER) see are sheepuffs and aerbunnies. Please fix these issues with spawning and give us better control over what spawns and doesn't!
3. The lightning sword is extremely dangerous. Don't even bother using it because you can even catch on fire. Especially if your enemy is closer than maximum hit distance.
4. Berry bushes don't update properly if they stay in a rendered area with you. I have a berry bush farm in my house, and even after 15 minutes only 2-3 of 32 have grown. If I start breaking them the rest update, and within 15-20 seconds I have all of them have berries!
5. Also, berries are hard to eat during any kind of fight, and on the bronze boss even if you start with a full food bar it'll be down to 4-6 food by the time you are done, which means you cannot regenerate health! I'm terrified of doing a gold boss for this reason.
6. The main menu is causing a lot of people grief. It looks beautiful, I absolutely think its awesome. However it increases the start time of minecraft by ~20 seconds, and when you save and exit a game it takes even longer. People that don't have enough java memory to handle both maps being loaded can crash.
7. Momentum from movement modifiers needs to be maintained. I should be able to make a quicksoil ramp leading to a blue cloud and be able to rocket myself to a distant feature. What currently happens is once I'm in midair I revert to my standard walking speed. This isn't nearly as fun as it could be!
8. Gold clouds require a ludicrous amount of work to get to. I have to build a 60-block high griefer tower to get to them. What's the point of having them right at the top of the map? Conversely, have some way to get up to them via more clouds.
9. Cockatrice poison is silly. This is an opinion and not a bug, but the poison should last for about 10 seconds less than it currently does. If I get hit once with full food and hunger I will have lost 5 hearts by the time it wears off, provided I don't get hit again or hurt in any other way.
grappling hooks: they have limited range but they can pull you all the way up a wall.
they should have a duration and they should be craftable.
nether moa: firehazurd made a dark moa that lived in the nether and it had special arms that
made the moa able to climb up walls.
how to get one: craft a dark moa egg and netherrack together to get a nether egg and hatch it by placing it in the [i dont remembr the name of the block...]
AETHER POTIONS: potions made out of items that we obtain in the aether.
