How would i fix the "leftovers"? i enjoy using WorldEdit, but i can't hardly see where i'm marking, if i were removing a mountain, or making a large walled in area.

Ok, for reference it's best not to make random abbreviations like that because there are lots of different mods/launchers/servers that like to mix up names and when trying to troubleshoot a problem it's important to know exactly what software you are using so that people can help you.
First question, if you're using the forge version. Have you tried using the LiteLoader version? If not, try it, it may work

The chat handler is just left over from lahwran's old code

Because WECUI basically needs a rewrite. I've done a few things to clean it up but it would be more work to get it into a good state than just writing it from scratch, which is why we're working on a replacement internally. Besides, as I already stated, the code just fails if it fails and doesn't really hurt anything. Sometimes it's not just as simple as "removing it", lahwran's code had a bunch of framework around it that wasn't really 100% necessary but was just his coding style, yetanotherx didn't remove it when he was maintaining this mod, and nobody else has bothered either because it doesn't have any negative effects being there.
In a nutshell, the entire mod is "left over from old coding" so your question is moot, and complaining about it is pointless.
Honestly, why complain about this kind of thing? Did you even try my suggestion to use my version? Or did you just come back here to pick holes in things I've told you?
I'm trying to help you out here and you're making it incredibly difficult.
hmm, just before coming back to see if anyone else said anything, i was going to ask if im supposed to put the lightloader version in like a mod (like i had seen in other posts, but lost the line i saw it on) with Forge since you said:
Have you tried using the LiteLoader version? If not, try it, it may work
so i assumed it would be like just about any Forge compatible thing, with the exception its not a .zip file, rather a .lightmod file

That's actually pretty useful to see, since it shows the root of the error. Basically the framework in WECUI that lahwran wrote uses an event/subscriber pattern and the NPE you're seeing is when the litemod tries to dispatch the event and it's null.
Sorry it looks like it's going to be a no-go with your setup, something you have installed is clearly just nerfing the ancient event bus in WECUI, whether it's a recent update to forge or another mod you have installed would be fairly hard to track down.
Watch this space, as I said I am (between other things) working on a full blown replacement for WECUI but as it stands I don't think it's going to be possible for you to get the current version running in your environment.
ah crap, well i took a look at your macro / keybind mod (out of curiosity) and i might try to get that, if this dosent work, it there a chance that will?
it does work, the only things i had in at the time was Forge and OptiFine, but those were in the minecraft.jar...
i think thats what the problem was, i had two mod loaders and the conflicted... is there no way around that, or do i have to drop Forge and pick up ModLoader?
Sorry for the n00b question/issue. I just set up a FTB-Ultimate based minecraft server a few days ago, and after adding WorldEdit, I ran across this great idea. Unfortunately, I can't find any way to coerce this into working.
Since I'm using FTB's pack, I'm using minecraft 1.4.7 and forge. It looks like every permutation I've found is either for post 1.5 forge, or 1.4.7 non-forge. Attempting various permutations of the mod-loader version all result in a crash.
Is there any chance of backporting the fixes that got it working on forge to a 1.4.7 compatible version? Or a quick howto if it's not rocket-science level?

The LiteLoader version has always worked alongside forge, so you should be able to use this version (1.4.6 stuff and 1.4.7 stuff are compatible) with the 1.4.7 version of liteloader. Install liteloader in your jar (or using magic launcher or multimc), and then just drop the .litemod file in your "mods" folder and that's it.
Will this be updated to 1.6? I basically can't survive without this.
Yes, but be patient because 1.6 was a hell of an update so updates are taking longer than usual because a lot of stuff has changed. I will post here when it's updated.

Oh I completely understand, that's why I was wondering what was happening with it. I don't even know how to go about modding 1.6 as they changed it to make it more steamlined or something like that? or so it would be easier to mod?

It's not so much the internal changes, since there have been updates this big in the past but the large internal changes combined with the new launcher and application structure has made this a bit of a doozy.
With regard to how difficult/easy it makes modding, there's really not much difference in difficulty.
Mumfrey I Love you for taking this awesome mod on! You have saved me count less times! Do you know why the original author abandon what is now "your baby"?
