It's a spam bot that posts minecraft mods leading to their owners' website (ex: 6minecraft). It's the same thing we get over here, however we're actually doing something about it while Gamespot is not. Or seems like they're not.

As you said here, it's also likely the same spambot that spammed the mods page with a bunch of unfinished text copyied and pasted from the official mod pages, a generic screenshot, the same download to 6minecrap, and sometimes the actual author of the mod -making it blatant that the mod's stolen-, a while ago. Somebody should seriously find the source of that spambot and/or shut down the "*insert number here*minecraft.net" pages. (Is it just me, or are they trying to do the same method with the insane sequel numbers that bootleggers do to attract people to buy their games?)
Somebody has to update it eventually by learning Forge and remaking the mod for 1.7.10 and above. Who knows, maybe it could be you.

I mean, why would anyone just leave a mod that 1.5 million downloads without saying anything? It just doesn't make sense. I am trying to get the more explosives mod installed. As far as I can see I am running minecraft 1.8.3. But the launcher is 1.6.11 I think. And I have a forge profile which says 1.8-Forge11.14.0.1299. I even found an installer for the more explosives mod where I could choose this forge Version. However, when I try that I get a Message saying something about that Minecraft jar Version is not available and I have to run minecraft 1.6.4 at least once before I can install the mod???? How can I run 1.6.4 once when my Version is 1.8.3? So I tried to find the 1.6.4 Version of minecraft to install that instead, but that seems to be a difficult task. Then I go to this forum and People are requesting this mod for 1.7???
