Wait.. what? Is this mostly a test of your modding/coding skills? I mean as for that I could see this mod being helpful.. but as for practicality it would still make more sense to just break the block and move it instead of getting into horrible odd angles to push said block.
What exactly is "unique" about this item vs a normal piston?

I don't want to start listing situations where this would be useful if you really can't see them.
I could have used this many times. I was making a mushroom house and broke the wrong block. I had to make a new mushroom, put a piston down, push it one space, put a block in, and push it again, just to fix the one block I messed up. But with this it would be so much quicker and easier. I'll try it out later. Quick question though, does it modify the c.class?

Could have used this in my hardcore hell house, pushing IC2 glass blocks when I expanded my home. Ended up doing it the hard way with regular pistons... (IC2 glass is irretrievable and a little pricey.)
Would it be possible (if it doesn't already) for the sticky piston (Or a super sticky piston) to pick up the block and you carry that block around as long as you have the gun out? Like you'll see the gun, with a drop sized version of the block sticking to the end.
It'd make fixing obsidian and such mistakes much easier as well as being able to carry mob spawners around.
Handheld pistons only push/pull one block at a time and have 100 uses.
Redstone remotes have 1000 uses.

To make a sticky version combine it with a slimeball on top.

Place the .zip file into your Mods folder in the minecraft directory.
Requires Modloader.
Config file included for all item/block IDs.
Thanks to jamolnng for the piston textures and Fluxigon for the remote.

Yes

The coding is 100% unique. It doesn't require you to place a block and power it... You hold an item, click, and the block moves.
It doesn't touch a single base file.
Redstone remote added. Yeah, that thing.
Can power any block for 2 seconds. Can only power one block at a time.
I could do something like a handheld torch easily if that's what you mean. Something like a flashlight though would be way beyond me.
Unless, of course, they have already been fixed and I am watching an old video of it.
This code for the handheld piston is 3 files. Pistons have 10.
What I mean is that could the Pistons code be used to fix the graphical glitches?

Also bump.
