Not sure if this has been reported before, but I found a bug with taint charge percentage. If the taint charge goes above 200%, it will reset down to 98% and work its way back up. An easy easy way to test this is to have plenty of liquid vis available, kick your duplicator in to "infinite" mode, and put a stick into it. Not only will it sound like a machine gun, but watch that taint charge go up and up and up and... it just looped... and up and up and... looped again.
I will admit, I LOLed.
What I do is I make two portal seals one directly above the other and shoot an arrow at one of them. It can get up past 500% before resetting to 98%.
Also, I have a suggestion for fixing this; carryover. For example, if the vis charge in a chunk is 120%, it should have a 100% chance to add 1 vis to the aura in the next aura tick, and a 20% chance to add 1 additional vis to the aura. So at, say, 360% vis charge, 3 vis will be added and there will be a 60% chance of a 4th vis being added.
Seems to me like this would make more sense than the way it currently works, especially with taint, where if you have a 900% charge, after a few seconds it'll add 1 to the taint in the chunk and somehow that consumes >800% taint charge.
just spent the last 15 minutes flying around a world with only vanilla plains and biomesxl meadows. Easily spotted a few TC zombies on the plains biomes, searched desperately for them on the meadows, and found only regular ones. Adding this to my previous play, and either I'm extremely unlucky with my spawns, or they really don't spawn there.
Maybe Azanor knows what the problem might be, it's really weird if their spawn requisites are the same as other zombies. Slimes spawn ok, so it's not the biome restricting it :/
I bumped into what appears to be a glitch with Mo'Creatures: IF you tweak the spawn rates of Vanilla monsters, (I turned off creepers and skellies, then cranked zombies up to 10) and tell the mod not to replace vanilla spawns, it appears that every zombie spawned is a Brain Zombie. I spent about two nights killing them, and earned just short of a full stack of brains.
I just downloaded ExtraBiomes, and I'll see if I can reproduce that effect. If it works with ExBio installed, then it might be worth the effort to download Mo'Creatures for your dumb-zombie world.
[EDIT] So there appears to be some sort of issue in tweaking mob spawn rates; game ran fine until dark, then when I tweaked vanilla spawn rates and told it to Modify Vanilla Spawns, it crashed and now refuses to restart. I'll fiddle with it more tomorrow and see what I can do.
