I don't believe that Thaumcraft is compatible with Industrial Craft, though I'm not sure why because minecraft crashes on start up before I can see the error report
All of my other mods work fine with it, though, so I am assuming that it is just Thaumcraft, but I may just suck at life.
It is definitely compatiable with IC2 as I'm using that myself in my games. If your getting an error than it is more than likely ID conflicts that you need to resolve in the .cfg file.
Aether however is another matter. Despite being a forge mod it modifies so many base classes that I doubt many forge mods will work with it. It also uses a metric f*ton of block-id's which may make it hard to get working with other mods. Shame, I was looking forward to the Aether update myself :sad.gif:

--- END ERROR REPORT b20af8d6 ----------
I've had a look at the code and there is nothing at that line that can cause conflicts. I'm guessing its an error that isn't being logged correctly for some reason.
However, since I don't change any base classes I'm just going to assume Aether is at fault. :tongue.gif:
I won't ignore the issue however - I want to play Aether myself so I'll do my best to get them working together.

all you have to do is ether move the ic2 ids or thaumcrafts
i changed mine to
BLOCKID.thaumConduit=252
BLOCKID.thaumCrucible=253
BLOCKID.thaumEffects=251
BLOCKID.thaumInfuser=255
BLOCKID.thaumSymbol=254
and it works fine
one thing i will say that i found out if i put the ids in any other order then this it stopped working but i dont know why

Wanna know whats the problem?
forge is not compatible with the current aether for 1.0.0
plus aether is very buggy right now and lots of features are broken so don't add aether yet.
I found that out the hard way. playing a legit no cheat minecraft survival world and lost all my precious items due to a bug in aether. -.-
it IS compatible
if by compatible you mean "won't immediately crash your minecraft, and corrupt your world due to a problem with rendering blueberries because we wanted a fancy title screen that takes up a stupid amount of resources"
so yeah, forge mods work, as long as you don't USE them ingame
yeah you can say that. we'll just have to wait for the aether update to run it together with this awesome mod.

The order shouldn't matter. I just did a quick test and mixing up all my entries had no effect on my game. Possibly you had duplicate entries or something was missing.
*high pitched fangirl scream*
does it work with chest carts? :tongue.gif:
and do I see a purple crucible, that isn't overflowing?
is that the T3 crucible?
you never did say what that black thing was by the way :tongue.gif:
I think it was you that mentioned the carts earlier in the thread. I got curious and much to my surpise portals worked with carts right out of the box - even carts containing players/mobs and chest carts. The only issue was they were immobile at the destination. That was really easy to fix however. Stuff will now keep their momentum when moving through a portal - the direction of travel will be corrected however according to the facing of the portal.
Yes, that is the t3 crucible.
And no, I never did say what the black thing was for...
did I get close with my guess of a one way rune or an on/off switch for portals?
could you at least give the name of it? so I don't need to keep referring to it as either "black thing" or "+ in a circle thingy", one sounds vaguely racist and the other sounds a bit silly
Talisman of the Void - I don't think that helps you much though. Much like there is a series of Symbols, it is the first in a whole new series of items: Talismans. They will have on-click abilities (like this one) or will have passive effects while in your hotbar. Many of them will consume vis crystals as fuel for their effects.
what does the T3 crucible do? I can't tell from the picture :tongue.gif:
does it never overflow? or have you just topped it off with dirt to make it completely full?

occurs when optifine C is installed.
part of the reason I think thaumcraft may be a problem here is the fact that (8, 63) is an obelisk (and that thaumcraft is mentioned)
Does the game crash?
The "Placed stronghold in INVALID biome at (8, 63)" error happens all the time and has nothing to do with my mod. Its just a system message when the game tries to populate a stronghold in an invalid biome.
The "java.io.FileNotFoundException: .....\Thaumcraft.cl (The system cannot find the file specified)" error can also be ignored - it will only show the first time you run the game (I'm hiding the error in my latest build.

Okay, I've discovered that my difficulty with Thaumcraft is a block id conflict. (244, to be precise) How do I change it? I have not found a txt or .cfg file to edit.
Please HELP :! this is an amazing mod but for some reason i dont get all the cool features, there are multiple items missing and i cant create a few of them either so its like a few items were ignored including the thuam detecter which i really want to use :tongue.gif: anyways thanks in advance i hope theres a solution -oh and i dont have any other mods sept for singalplayer commands, and toomany items
Anybody know why Thaumcraft cashes when interacting with MoreCreeps & Weirdos?? The two load together fine but if you shoot a traveling chest with a ray gun or put anything from MoreCreeps and Weirdos into it it instant "saving chunks" and crashes.
I can't get a crash report or I don't know where it would be.. :/ Any ideas?

If you got it via Yogbox or technic pack then you probably don't have the latest version with all the items.

Excellent!
It seems that RedPower uses block ID 255 (Rubber Tree Wood). 173 is not used with the combination of IC2, BC, RP2, Tomes, Checkpoints, Wireless Redpower, and EE. It is in the range that EE uses, but not currently utilized.
