im not. i honestly think the taint effects are enough to worry about.
Azanor already said he was going to add things to bother you with insanely high vis aura levels, so instead of trying to vote against it you could suggest something better? -.-
I still think aura-based terraforming and effects would be a feature, not just "another thing to worry about." Stuff isn't hard to keep in check, just have a thaumometer on hand when you're doing lots of magic.
I'm not sure if this has been suggested, but it could be nice to have book that would show you how to make the items for this. Like the basic item's you don't have to research ( The Crucible, Infuser, Quaesitum, ect.). Though being able to put the scrolls in a book so they'd be easier to look up wouldn't hurt either.
Have it be made with a book and maybe a fragment of lost Knowlege? There easy enought to get so might not hurt to give them another use.

Look through the thread a few pages back...or if you're lazy...

Hence why i am suggesting things and liking suggestions of this nature . Its already going to happen so why not suggest what can or should happen.

He was suggesting it to show the unresearched recipes as well, although similar not the same thing entirely. Admittedly some of the recipes for the infuser are inconvenient to remember when you're just starting out/taking long breaks

(Emphasis mine)
I think this is a good point, the basic recipes being added to the book would be good, especially since unlike regular crafting you can't use NEI or related mods to find infuser recipes.
I did read back a ways but didn't see anything about that book. Sorry for suggesting it. Though what I was saying was a little different. I was just thinking it would make it a little easier to remember how to make the basic things. I've not been using the mod long and was having trouble figuring out some of them. I did go to the wiki after a while but there was a few things that I'm still unsure if I need to research to make or not.
And I was going to use NEI but it's having issues installing so gave up on it for now.

So basically all of TC in the book, a recipe book mod does the same effect but having it in the thaumnicon would be a nice deal.
Just i kinda just blanked out on book, scrolls and fill in lol.
Yep I'm suggesting a recipe book in ThaumCraft that'll show just the basic starter items. I don't want to rely on a second mod that might not show them. I think most just show vanilla stuff.

Maybe we can make a small story book explaining what is Thaum in general for those detail lovers, including the "blueprints' for a crucible.

im just saiyn i don't want to constantly keep one eye on the aura level as well as the taint level and focus more on advancing in the mod.
Adding extra mobs or effects to high vis areas isn't really that bad. Terraforming my deserts into plains was kinda annoying. Would gladly fight giant fire spewing ants instead.

The way i see it is high vis in the aura resulting in mobs just means more things for me to kill and have fun with. I would gladly take any mob over a creeper any day.

One thing...

ShadowCat, try using NEI (Not enough Items), it has a built in recipe mode that lets you look up stuff like that.

Edit: Beaten....twice.

That wouldn't help with infuser recipes though
Also, I love when I see people using the EE sig I made for myself
Post those issues in the NEI thread and see what comes of it. It's a great utility, I haven't regretted downloading it for a minute.
In the future, someone may develop a plugin that allows you to view infuser recipes as well.
