Then you can type the text and your world name will be purple XD
9 also makes a darker purple if you want.
I love doing this for Thaumcraft worlds. It also works with different colors when you click different numbers and some letters.
also doing §k makes all text after that randomly change like at the end credits
List of colors i have found:

I've had the same problem, but strangely, it worked once I threw out Buildcraft. I think part of the problem might be that Buildcraft does not work with the latest version of Forge yet (BC still uses Force 1.4.1.57, see the blog post "Forge conflicts"). It looks like Thaumcraft uses the latest version of Forge, that is, 1.4.1.59.

Thank you so much, I was running the last version of forge compatible with BC. I just downloaded the same version you have, and will install it later (going hiking now.)
It actually looks like we're running similar modsets, though I don't use redpower (to mechanical for my fantasy theme, I only use BC for the pipes) so hopefully it'll work when I try it this evening.

You sure? I just created a new world and couldn't make the Goggles of Revealing.
Do not quote the OP just to add one poorly-worded and uninformative sentence. Follow the installation instructions for both mods and it will work properly.
If you can't do that, at least be thoughtful enough to provide the crash log and modloader.txt in spoiler tags
If you're not sure how to do that, look it up.
If you're not sure how to look it up, turn off the computer and avoid electrical appliances entirely.

Azanor I think it's a little early for that survey and trying to balance things like the vis/taint. I get the impression that taint should be more of a long term consideration like at first you don't really care and then as your operation gets larger the build up becomes more and more of a concern right? Most people haven't even gotten to that point unless they're playing creative/TMI.

Do the thaumic slimes still drop Vis Crystals(or crystals of any type)?
And yeah I definitely agree with increasing the Taint because it is hard to get taint in the world. Maybe make it so that some chunks naturally spawn with a lot of taint in them. I went flying in creative with a thaumometer and I found tons of areas where the Aura rating had almost filled the bar on the screen and there was absolutely NOTHING that would be increasing the Aura. And they even had more Aura than a chunk I found with 2 Silverwood trees in it.
Maybe the taint needs to spread to adjacent chunks less quickly so it's easier to generate a toxic amount in the local area more quickly (and also easier to stop it in the short term by stopping production and letting it spread out a bit). And also have effects appear at a lower level and be less of an on/off thing. Like have tainted mobs start showing up before the land starts getting corrupted as a warning. Maybe have them spawn regardless of light levels?
My seed has 4-5 silverwood trees and an obelisk near spawn =D

Are you sure you didn't mix them up? I used the seed and spawned in a snow biome. Next to it is a plains biome and from the top of a small hill I can see 3 obelisks (one has the most complete base I've ever seen) and 1 Silverwood tree.
Well anyway, the world seems perfect to make a nice Thaumcraft career. Thanks.
