Hm... I have a idea. Why not make a way of making random potions using the old potion system from the pre-releases?(in which there were many effects one could get, even if it was completely random)
I'd devote massive amounts of Vis to such a system myself.

I use the obsidian pipe myself, but I may make it more friendly for other BC pipes.
Orichalcum is in the Metallurgy mod? Hmmm. Technically my version is not an ore since you never mine it so it doesn't qualify for the ore dictionary. Having two types of the same ore might cause some confusion.
Maybe it should change to something else entirely - Azanorium or something :tongue.gif:
Actually, Bronze from IC2 was added to the ore dictionary I believe, as well as the rubber wood.
Bronze, you can never actually find as an ore, it's only in ingot (and dust) form in IC2. It's interchangeable with Forestry's bronze as well.
And rubber wood... Well that's not an ore. :tongue.gif: You can find rubber wood in IC2 and RP2.
It's not giving me black screen, it's giving me mojang screen (which then crashes after a few seconds.) Well, every mod I've tried to install has given me black or mojang screen.
EDIT: modloader, modloadermp, and forge are all working, but when i put thaumcraft into mods it crashes.
Added another symmetrical tier to the thing, which automatically melts down the crystals into liquid vis which gets conveniently piped back to my base. However it seems that vis transport becomes inneficient at long distances .

Move the top piece first. Right-click it while holding the Apportation Wand and right click on the ground away from the obelisk. Then, take the next piece and do the same, but do not place the next piece directly next to the first one. Place it at least one block away from the first piece. Repeat for the next two, not leaving a piece floating. Then rebuild from the bottom up in the correct order.
or enchant a pickaxe with silk touch and just break it down. Oh i see he wants to know how to move it with a wand...my bad

just do what im going to have to do when i have the stamina (which will not be 45 minutes after midnight unlike it is now in this time zone) and start from the bottom up with installing modloader, modloaderMP, etc in that order (which failure to do might be why my game crashed)
Yeah the obsidian pipe in the outlet ended all my automation woes... Thus I present the THAUMINATOR 9000 (SE)And no, it didn't explode on my face... yet
don't do anything near it. don't move. don't breath. you can however click on it randomly with the apportation wand sorry I'm in a magically explosive mood (how else do I describe it? I want to see something explode from magic) and was hoping someone associating with me would get to see what im hopeing for since im still waiting for myself to stop typing bad jokes on internet forums and get some sleep :biggrin.gif:
Here's an idea. a different way to move the obelisks.
You have to do something special to the obelisk (like right click with a special combination of tools, like orichalcum shovel then orichalcum sword then tinkering tools then thaum detector. and the order/tools is shown as symbols on the specific obelisk)
then the obelisk explodes (with no damage to you or anything) and drops it's pedestal as a resource, if you get the combination wrong it explodes in a large radius and damages you and drops nothing.
you then have to take that pedestal to a location, place it on a 3x3 platform of obsidian then right click it with the tinkering tools (or a new item) and it will slowly grow into a new obelisk (like 1 section per minecraft day)
edit:
and it has to be in an area of high vis concentration. otherwise it will take an entire minecraft week to grow each section.

You don't have forge installed or you installed it in the wrong order. Install ModLoader, ModloaderMP and then Forge.

I had it all installed and running fine but when I tried to update to your latest version, I get this error. Do I have to go back and re-install forge again?

You might have to get the latest version of Forge.
I don't believe that Thaumcraft is compatible with Industrial Craft, though I'm not sure why because minecraft crashes on start up before I can see the error report
All of my other mods work fine with it, though, so I am assuming that it is just Thaumcraft, but I may just suck at life.
it's not compatible ATM with aether if that's insalled (mainly due to how messy and bug filled aether's code is ATM, it's understandable considering that they had to port from 1.7.3 to 1.0.0, AND add forge support. fun fact, aether modifies nearly every base class in the game)
if not, you may just have an ID conflict, or just buggered up the install :tongue.gif:
It may not have been clear, but the error log appears for a split second before the whole launcher kills itself. I don't think I buggered up the install, though who knows?
