well finally got some heart wood, so many innocent trees died :sad.gif:
and i can confirm that shift clicking anything into or out of a roomy trunk crashed Minecraft badly
i get a blured out saving screen and my consol is saying somthing about "at pj.a(SourceFile:121)" and "at pj.b(SourceFile:207)"
i dont seem to lose anything though
What inventory addon are you guys using? I can't duplicate this bug.
EDIT: NM, its convenient inventory that causes it. I've found the bug and squashed it.
Plant growth still follows the normal rules. i.e. light level needs to be 8+. Add some light sources and you should be fine.

Wow - Almost exactly the list of mods I'm using - except I don't have the wireless stuff and Optifine and I use the Craftbook mod instead of Recipe Book.
Thaumic Duplicator = Energy Condenser
Vis Condenser = Energy Collector
Vis Crucible = AntiMatter Relay
Alumentum - Mobius Fuel
YOU KINDA STOLE EQUIVALENT EXCHANGE!!!

i see your equating function there not the order you build them or cost
all so those three in EE are only recently like that

sorry for being a noob but why cant I get this to work? I installed Modloader, ModloaderMP, Forge, and, for the use in the portalgun mod which I was planing on playing before I saw this one, audiomod. unless minecraft replaced it, the META-INF folder of the minecraft jar is gone. what am I missing? the only thing I know of that might be the problem is my OS. its windows 7 so I think that's unlikely.

start afresh and add one mod at a time and always check if it can run
if it doesnt then you most likely have a conflict somewhere or installed modload and forge in the wrong order
The first time I saw a tree I thought "They DO appear at night!" So I got my axe and tried chopping...
Those eyes!
The tree breathing!
THE FRUIT!
Nightmare fuel.
Having this mod work alongside equivalent exchange would be epic, say, what about a transmutation table which does the same as a philosopher's stone while requiring some vis (not an excessive ammount obviously) to run, while the philosopher stones themselves would get phased into more late-game stuff...
Back to earth this is probably one of the most polished mods I've seen, I really like it. The arcane bore is the most fun I've had mining in a while! :smile.gif:
For the lack of trees people were talking about, it seems they prefer to spawn in forest biomes as the description says, I never had difficulty finding them.
Bugs I found so far:
Apportation wand forgets what it was transporting if for some reason the current session is ended and another one starts (guess it stores the item in the memory). Quite minor but was annoyning when one of my obelisk peices disappeared, given they are way rare.
Sometimes the vis condensers can't spit the condensed crystal far away enough, it just sits beside them. Not really an issue unless you are concerned with automation, I usualy have either an obsidian pipe or a crucible immediately below the output of my condensers to gather the energy.
Suggestions:
Make vis condensers integrate with buildcraft piping, or at least some minimal automation such as making them dump their crystals on a chest if they are facing it.
A "Vis accelerator" pipe peice which would make vis empty crucibles faster and fill the nodes faster, would be helpful when you got lots of high-value items to toast.
Perhaps make runes cover a 9x9 area instead of 7x7? 9x9 is the exact coverage of water on crops, so you can get where I'm going with this.
Vis slimes could be a bit more catastrophic (if not funnier) if they grew faster (and perhaps without an upper limit to their size :laugh.gif: ).
Eldirtch trees stand out like sore thumbs atm, I wonder if they could use transparent textures to better blend with the normal trees.
Perhaps another tool which could be used to passively produce piped vis the same way as the condensers of earlier days?
Obelisks seem to provide minimal returns in vis extraction given their rareness. Perhaps they could provide more energy or "hook" up one to another magnfying their effects.
I really liked the little mycelum patches around the old obelisks, it made it look like they were draining the power from the mycelum. Perhaps some arcane entity could do that? Say, it outputs more vis (or some other arcane thing) the more tiles of mycelium connect to it?

Ugh, yeah. I actually hate the texture I made for them. The problem is that transparent leaf textures on entity models behave differently that those on blocks and looks even worse. I'm not particularly pleased with the shapes of the tree either and might do something in the future to change that.

Have you tried placing a group of them together yet to see what happens?
How about a Miner Bore?
It would have 3 extra slots in it that you put torches in, and ever five(?)blocks of digging a torch is spat out and goes onto the wall?
It'd prevent that tedious work of waiting for the bore to finish making a tunnel, going inside, placing torches, and killing mobs.
EDIT: Sorry if you saw those two copies. My computer must have slowed down
Not going to happen. There are already two ways to get "free" vis. Everyone seems to forget nitor. :smile.gif:
Is it really free? I mean do you get enough excess vis from the process to duplicate glowstone and create the crystallized vis that you use up with the infusion molds and still have excess vis left over? Because if not it's not really free at all but merely a way to (maybe) increase the amount of vis that you get from each glowstone you harvest manually.
EDIT: I believe the nitor system was put in place before infusion molds became consumable. Was the vis returned rebalanced with this in mind?

This is already fixed for the next release.

The obsidian that now surrounds them fits better with some of the things I have planned for the future.
Yes they do hook up the particle effects, but the vis gain doesn't seem very palpable. Again i might be wrong.

My vote would be for some kind of miraculous equipment that is chargable with vis.
I believe vis condensers only work with obelisks
