Your taint level is actually pretty low, but are you sure there are no taint crystals in the chunk? I believe they increase it over time.

Your purifier is causing some of it as it cleans your system, and your seals generate a little bit.
Nope, scoured the area no taint crystals in the area that I can find
Machines do some, and underground taint crystals add some to, looks like they affect all from bedrock to the sky(not really sure about effect in all the height lvs). If you wanna have a strong Vis area, you need find a silvertree forest, they consumes taint and expels vis, if you keep they near you will never need to worry about the taint (unless you have a huge arcane lab that generate more taint that the trees can handle).
I built my base under a silver wood tree, but still managed to legitimately taint my world, so the trees wont prevent taint by a noticeable amount
Under one? and you test in a forest of silverwood? they build up a lot of vis in the area, and the taint was decreasing, so well one can really not being good. You can try do a base inside a forest.
Someone find a noticeable effect or how to really use the totems? they don´t pollute or clean in as the discovery scrolls says.
I also noticed that world generated things generally have a better aura, i made my base in a better dungeons pyramid (with the technic) and the bar was almost full for vis aura. and there were tons of silver and greatwood trees around.
two dawn totems on top of each other make an uncorruptable area extending two blocks from the totem (so baically a 5*5 area, centred on the totem)
i'm not sure what the dusk ones do, but it seems to act as a "pin" for taint when it's purifying itself, it slows the decay of taint for a few blocks around it
Thanks for the tip, I gonna test it, I build up some large dusk totem, but I guess as the dawn one, just are "wards" for avoid the other aura spreads. is good if you wanna have a havestable "good crystals" and a controlled taint crystal area.
I'm not sure if it has been posted yet, but 3 blaze powder from the seed pod in the desert is too much- a quick trip can net you a stack of it, and its worth 7+% with 2 stacks of cobblestone for research, which is pumping out a ton of fragments.
Also, I've gotten 2 thaumium crucible recipes- one hard, the other tricky.

I would update forge to .64, TC2 is up to 2.0.2, conflict might be there.

"IMPORTANT: They difficulty of a theory can vary between research attempts. You might get a tricky theory your first time, but continuing to research the same type of knowledge might reveal a hard, or even moderate theory instead... or possibly a tortuous one."
If I get a tortuous theory I just hold out for tricky or easier. They're painful.

Not the purifier, it s l o w l y destroys taint without emitting anything, but you're right about the seals.
It's a challenge to find all the tainted crystals, and nothing short of a quarry down to bedrock will ensure you got them all.

The amount it dupes the item is amazingly rare... You'd lose more Vis duping it then you'd gain from the dupe.
