Does anyone else think the upvote system in Curse is complete ********? I want to give this thread at least 40 of my own hard-earned reputation points. Just here to show Azanor some mad love and let him know I've been converting people to the dark side, even in my personal life, telling them about the joy that is Thaumcraft.
I may have to restart a world and install EE for a spell just to get the god mode out of my system, but I've been playing with a pure TC2 and RP2 world, and lovin every second of it. I'm *almost* done with research using only cobblestone breaker systems, 2 Quaesitums (I recommend 3-5 to anyone) and a stupidly massive sugarcane farm of roughly 250 plants [total yield about 7~8 stacks per harvest] - As a result, I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
Really looking forward to future updates from this already incredible mod, and the highly awaited future of SMP.

some guess wrong behaviors with the "travelling trunk":
1) when you open the trunk with something that have a right click function as well as opening the trunk the object will be used (examples to describe it better and pointing why is that annoying)
Example:
- once I opened my trunk while got in my hands a water bucket the gui of the trunk opened and the water was placed making a mess with the torches around (imagine if it was a lava bucket)
- opening the trunk with the elemental cutter will make it use infinitely his rightclick function (consuming it while the trunk's gui is opened)
- opening the trunk with a bow in your hand make it charge full the arrow then shoot at your trunk!! (I imagine thet if the bow is the bow of the bone it will rapid-fire at the trunk while the gui is opened)
2) the trunk is affected by the AoE function of the elemental cutter (and I think even the sword of the zephyr) no need to tell why this is annoying but I can tell that once I was surrounded by zombies and I was forced to kill my own trunk in order of not die.

I think I may regret this, but go to your .minecraft folder. There should be a folder called 'config'. Open that up, and look for the IndustrialCraft config file. Open it with Notepad, and find the value '249'. Change it to the value of an unused ID. If you have NEI, you can perform an ID dump to find an unused ID.

Also, yes, there are some really cool features of thaumcraft to be sure. Some, in particular, still impress me today. Thaumcraft is truly a unique mod.
I ran into a bug that causes a saving chunks crash. I was fighting pigmen in the nether and everytime I would get hit I would crash. I used invedit to move my armor to my inventory and it cleared it up.
After some testing It turns out the void armor pants with
protection IV, swimming III, and self repair I
were causing it.

If you want to duplicate the error yourself, you could probably manually set the conditions up.
Use NEI to enchant void armor pants with those enchantments, go into the nether and get hit by pigmen while wearing the pants.
It would be easier for Drison to get a crash report for you, but if you don't want to wait, you could try that route.
With the addition of the carpet I'm considering changing the right-click effect of the zephyr sword. It has always been just a bit too good. I''m considering changing it to a sort of "leap" effect with a short cooldown. In effect it hurls the player a distance aways, but cannot be spam clicked to allow flight. The mob pulling thing will remain.

So, I'm not sure if you're still soliciting ideas, but I think that your boots already cover that functionality completely. You'd just be duplicating a different item, and a longer-standing one. I'd say to have the sword's right-click blow back mobs, but that might be stepping on the Void Crusher's toes, even if it were a much stronger effect.
You don't have anything yet that calls down lightning strikes, though...
correct me if i am wrong, but from what i have gathered, the next update of Thaumcraft will not be announced till Minecraft 1.3 is out (not sure when this is going to happen) with this new update the research will be changed to a less slot like format, and it will more then likely to be multi-player (because of the Minecraft update, API what not) as well as the possibly of basic recipes in thauminomicon. that is all that i have gathered thus far

NEI doesn't support the Thaumic Enchanter enchantments.

Not currently, no. A form of 'Thaumic Herbology' was suggested a while back, so maybe in a later update.
