Hey noppes. Ran into a bug with your alpha i thought you might want to know about. If you have someone with the companion role and try to equip them with items, or equip them with items first, then select companion and click edit it crashes the "server" (only running single player right now)

Not only does it put a \ in front of every " it also changes words with symbols over them such as "Fáilte" where the a with the symbol will be changed to something else. Its not a huge deal as I can just easily go in and edit the text, but where I have over 100 NPc's it does become a bit of a job. For now I'm not going to bother working on it and just wait for a non-alpha version to be released.

Doesn't matter if I change the text. If I go out of the game and back in, it is still all messed up. I even created some new text and sure enough, when I went back into the game it always has a \ before a " and any letters with symbols over them are messed up. Again, I am aware its an Alpha, I was just adding my input in case this is will be an issues with the next release.

It does not seem to crash for me. Can you be more specific or provide a crash log.

Thanks the \" in the .json is intended, but it should have been removing them when it loaded them back into minecraft. Thanks for reporting

All right, I have 3 questions to make sure your not making a beginners mistake.
1) Did you make sure the NPC can't despawn? Sometimes, an NPC may be set to despawn, but the model is still there.
2) Did you set the NPC to respawn?
3) Did you try making a new NPC named House in the same position with the same settings?
1) : We leaved all NPC to respawn by default, I'm not sure I understand your question but it seems the NPC is not invisible, not here when we check all the npc around.
2) : Set to respawn by default
3 ) : Yeah, it creates it, but it disappear after some times too

It is a Transporter that has disappeared. Is it possible he is still here, cause we can TP to it ?
Or we can tp to him anyway, cause the tp is linked to a location (/tp Saru 100 50 100) and not to a NPC (House) so it means the NPC can disappear, bug, crash, we can always tp to it ?
Any way to get just the NPCs without all the items and blocks?
Any way to make the random NPCs seeded with MC items/armors spawn with standard zombie / skeleton AI to attack players?!
You can disable all the extra items and blocks in the config. file.
You can create natural spawning NPC's with the NPC wand, but they currently only spawn in newly generated chunks.

Your crash is happening while connecting to a server I asume? That crash usually happens if you have mods which add mobs which the server doesnt have. Remove that mod from your client.

i only have 7 mods it loads and then it goes to shutting down internal server

Doesn't matter if I change the text. If I go out of the game and back in, it is still all messed up. I even created some new text and sure enough, when I went back into the game it always has a \ before a " and any letters with symbols over them are messed up. Again, I am aware its an Alpha, I was just adding my input in case this is will be an issues with the next release.
It does not seem to crash for me. Can you be more specific or provide a crash log.

1) : We leaved all NPC to respawn by default, I'm not sure I understand your question but it seems the NPC is not invisible, not here when we check all the npc around.

It is a Transporter that has disappeared. Is it possible he is still here, cause we can TP to it ?
Or we can tp to him anyway, cause the tp is linked to a location (/tp Saru 100 50 100) and not to a NPC (House) so it means the NPC can disappear, bug, crash, we can always tp to it ?
You can disable all the extra items and blocks in the config. file.
You can create natural spawning NPC's with the NPC wand, but they currently only spawn in newly generated chunks.

Your crash is happening while connecting to a server I asume? That crash usually happens if you have mods which add mobs which the server doesnt have. Remove that mod from your client.
