Is anyone else having an issue where they cannot view crafting bench recipes with JEI while CustomNPCs is installed? If I try left clicking or pressing "R" on any item that uses the vanilla crafting bench, nothing happens. No error or crash or anything in the log (though maybe it isn't set verbose enough?). If I remove CustomNPCs from my mods folder, the recipes come back.
It does not seem to actually affect the recipes. I can't view the recipe for a chest, but I can still build one if I put eight wood in the crafting bench.
I'm using the 17th of January 2018 version of CustomNPCs for 1.12.2 and JEI 4.8.5.146, if that helps.
I recently updated my custom npc's mod from Minecraft 1.10 to 1.12.2, but I lost all of my NPCs and items. Is there any way for me to correctly transition from 1.10 to 1.12.2 without losing all of my NPCs? Any help would be deeply appreciated, thanks

I think you may keep your NPCs if you load your world in a 1.11 version of Custom Npcs before 1.12.2. You will lose all items from your world though, since these have been moved to the Varied Comodities mod. Hope this helps :-)

If you load your world in 1.11 with the 1.11 versions of the mods CustomNPC's and VariedCommodites, and load in every part of the world where there are NPC's or Items, and then load the world in 1.12 with the mods, it will keep them. But from what I saw, I had to fly around the map and load in evey part of the world with NPCs. NPCs would be deleted from any chunk I didn't fly in.
Hello, probably this question has been made already but I haven't found it. How do I create the wand in survival mode???? I've tried with bread and sticks in all the possible ways but nothing happens. Help!
Technically speaking, last I checked, it was just supposed to be a hoe, but made out of bread. Seems like you tried that though.
On a side note, you aren't actually supposed to use this mod in survival mode. The wand has potentially game breaking features, such as making it so an NPC can give you a resource every time you talk to him, or things like that.
If you really want one, grab one from creative after enabling cheats.

Can you create a structure with something like the Restructured mod and create an NPC to spawn inside it with this mod on 1.7.10? If so, is there documentation that might help me with this? I'm on mobile right now and it won't let me open the FAQ document or the starting info. If it's in there I can look when I get home... Otherwise, can anyone provide any suggestions or other helpful documentation?
Okay, so I should have read about Restructured first. It does allow you to create structures and save "mobs" with the schematic using something like WorldEdit. SO. With that being said, I've created an NPC in a custom building I made with the Restructured mod. When I spawn the building and try to edit the NPC with the NPC Wand, it does open the GUI to edit the NPC and I can change whatever I want to. HOWEVER, once I click done or the "X" on the top right to exit the menu, the NPC disappears in a puff of smoke and doesn't respawn. He is set to respawn, but never does. He is NOT set to naturally despawn. It also does not save any of the changes I make in this particular scenario.
At first, he was wandering off into another chunk and disappearing on his own. I managed to get his behavior to Standing to hold position instead of Wandering (although I'd much prefer he be a wanderer, since I do have him set to move back to his spawn point) and he stopped disappearing on his own. Now he only disappears if I try to edit him with the NPC wand. Mind you, this is only after I load the schematic, too. If I just create the NPC and don't save/load the structure to generate another copy of the NPC, he's fine. It's the one that loads with the structure that seems to have a problem.
One thing to note, when I right click in survival mode, he does his default dialog and doesn't despawn. So, this issue seems to be related to 2 things - the NPC wand, and/or the loading of the structure.
The main problem here is, I can't edit the NPC once I've saved him/her to a schematic. So if I want to change anything about them, I have to completely recreate them. Unless they are stored somewhere else that I don't know of and can be respawned? I am new to this mod, so that is *entirely* possible.
Has anyone had a similar issue? Any ideas how to resolve this problem?
EDIT: Is it possible I need to clone the NPC before adding it to the structure?

I'm having trouble applying custom skins to certain NPC mobs using the "URL" option. I've designed some custom skins and uploaded them to the internet; when I create the NPC, I set their skin option to "URL" and paste in the link to the skin file. For some mobs, like dragons and Iron Golems, this works fine, but for others such as wolves, pigs, and silverfish, the skins come out all jumbled. I've triple-checked to make sure my skins are in the correct format. Perhaps using the URL option simply doesn't work for some mobs for some reason?
Is it possible to make an NPC completely invisible? I’ve tried to set the visibility option to no, but it’s still partly visible. I guess I could make a custom skin without a texture, but that wouldn’t remove the shadow, would it? A solution to this would be greatly appreciated

Make sure you're not holding the NPC Wand. NPC's that you set to be invisible will be partially visible while holding the wand so that you can find and edit them.

And here I thought there was something wrong with the mod itself, and I wasted all this time trying to figure out how modding works.
I can not craft NPC Tools. NPC Wand doesnt work, NPC Cloner doesent work. What is the problem? I tested it with and without OP rights.
As far as I know, the NPC Wand and Cloner only works when you're in Creative mode. I'm not sure why this is, but I experimented with this, and got positive results. Also, if you're looking for the tools that came with CustomNPC, they're in their own mod called Varied Commodities by the same author.
There's something for use 1.8+ skins version in 1.7.10 Custom NPCs?
I think there are converters online, but if you got a picture editor, just crop out the lower half of the image. 1.8 skins are 64x64 pixels, 1.7.10 should be 64x32.
Hey is there any way to make npcs render farther away. At the moment they can't be seen from very far. Also is there any sort of config setting or some way I can make npcs aggro range bigger than 64? Cheers
Hey there! I absolutely love this mod-it can add so much for free! Yet I have a little question; I'm making a little adventure map for my best friend but she would play on my pc and account etc. Obviously, I already tested all of the quests and dialogues etc but is there a way to reset them as if I never read them so she can complete everything??
go to advanced tab ->playerdata -> dialog or quest ,select and delete. or just select player in player data and delete which will delete all reference to that player

I think like mob they are in load chunks what can be seem, as far as aggro that would take too much computer cpu to figure out

yes if you look for their head
With the recent 1.12.2 customnpcs update, command blocks still cannot run any /noppes command. This is incredibly annoying.

I'm in the 1.9.4 version if that matters.
