This is a really nice mod! Great work!
But I'm concerned about all the hundreds of things added not related to npc's. Is there any way to get a hold of a "limited" edition of your mod wich allows you to only spawn npc's with the basic human skin and allow all the normal npc edit options.
I like the standard minecraft without the added mangas, unicorns and guns.

Some people like to divert, they may make a fantasy map, they may make a military map. One of the better things from this mod, if not the best, are the many options you have when creating your npc. You don't have to use the guns, you also don't have to create unicorns.
I, like you, prefer my Minecraft somewhat medieval and "normal" (no unicorns, elves, or anything alike).
Just use what you want, and ignore what you don't want, i'm sure they won't interfere.
You can already make redstone blocks active after you complete a quest...
The next update wont have the item availability yet. Ive been working on some other things
Hey man, 3 quick questions
1. Is it possible to create a pickaxe quest item, so that when the item is in inventory you could have a dialogue option to mine the block (and use item giver role to give item mined)
2. Will these custom blocks be basic minecraft textures? Or will they change dependant on the texture pack (I'm guessing the 1st)
3. OFF TOPIC slightly.. Are there plans to create a JOB option like the role option in dialogues?
I know you're busy adding more epic stuff to this mod but I have a couple suggestions. You might probably already be planning these but still here are some:
-Certian dialogues can make an npc attack you, change factions, give you an item, change armor/weapon, move to a different area, or teleport you somwhere.
-When you kill an npc you get teleported (This would be good for boss npcs)
-Limit on how many followers people can hire.
-Different spells you can use with mana. I think you're already planning this because there are the orbs and spell items that I have no idea what they are used for. Spells like healing or buffing your skills would be cool.
-Lockpicking/pickpocketing? This is probably asking for too much but it would be amazing if their was a new "Locked door" block where you can set the key to unlock it or set it to be picklocked with lockpicks you can get, and you can set how hard it is to lockpick and such. Also when you sneak and right click on an npc, you can pickpocket them. And in the inventory gui you can set pickpocket chance of success and such.
-Lawkeepers? Like most of my suggestions, probably asking for too much but still. A new job that will find you if you fail a pickpocket or kill an npc in their faction, and gives you a choice of paying a fine, (Settable by payers for different crimes), Going to jail, (You pretty much just teleport right in front of a jailhouse and all of your weapon's and armor's durability has decreased a bit) or resisting arrest, which is pretty self explanitory. Maybe something like a 3 strikes system where if you commit a crime 3 times or so they just attack you on sight.

I have a question, I have been using the 1.4.2 version of Custom Npcs and have it all set up and running, however when i switch to a different jar that is loaded with 1.2.5 and worldedit and do things on that and return to my 1.4.2 jar, all my npcs are gone, however if i reload my world that hasnt been saved with the changes from 1.2.5 everything is normal again, is there anyway to make it so that i can have the changes from 1.2.5 and worldedit in my 1.4.2 jar?
1 side note, if i work on the 1.2.5 jar in the nether and save there and return to the 1.4.2 only my npcs that were in the nether have disappeared, same goes for The End.
I love this mod and I know your working hard but it would be really awesome if you could add some things like more guns, new modern armors, basically just some modern weapons and armor. That would be really cool thanks alot for the great mod Noppes!

If you have mods that add items,blocks,entities and open your world without that mod. All items, blocks and entities will be gone. This goes for every mod.

1) Not yet. Will be possible in the future
2) No you have to make the textures for it yourself
3) Jobs are passive thing while roles are active. Jobs activate without the player having todo anything so there is no way to hook it into the dialog system.
I was gonna update yesterday, but found some bugs. Will fix those today and do some more testing and if its fine Ill release.
found an weird bug. when i set an npc to 'standing > stalking', when i get close to it, his heads starts to oddly spin and shake, and when you get closer to him, he starts to normal stare at you. Did you already fixed it?

Its just a pre-release and is mostlikely compatible with 1.4.4 mods
