I'm trying to place npc's in homes. A few of them set to wonder with in a small space (like 2) but every once in a while after returning to the map I find these npc's outside rather than where they were set. This is also happening on one of my boats where I have a deck hand wondering a bit... with -no way- for him to get off the boat, at times I find him going for a swim.
The only fix is to have -everyone- inside someplace standing still. But that isn't what I'm looking for..

Just found a strange thing:
The npcs have multiple slots for dialogues, but when you give them more than one, they will only use the first one.
I'm not sure if that's a bug or just an unfinished feature, i just wanted to report it to you

That is suppose to happen, your suppose to use that as a "greeting"
So Noppes, I have an attack variation idea.
(This is for after the official release, or whenever you want, as your the Mod creator lol)
You know how Mojang apparently changed Creeper AI to become more "Creepy"?
Well, maybe bring some kind of stalker attack variation that has the NPC stalk the player?
(going around corners like a skeleton, but perusing the player like a creeper)
But have the NPC try and stay out of the players line of sight? (i know that would be a pain to code)
I feel like that would be a pretty epic idea.

Unfortunately, I've found a small "graphicalish" bug...
It isn't even close to game ruining, but it does get annoying.
When NPC's are set to stand still, and are acting as a Guard, after attacking an enemy, they walk towards their post as usual, but when they are very close to the original post, they sort of "snap" back into position, it seems very unnatural, and as I stated, can be a bit annoying.
And finally, maybe you can add an advanced Guard mob panel, that allows for individual Mob selection?
Because on superflat maps (as an example) slimes are everywhere, and Guards will waste their life on useless slimes all day (and night) long...
That is not the only occasion I feel this is useful, just the most prominent.
(sorry for all the requests, I just love this Mod, and would like to see it improve even more than it has done already)
I'd like a request. You have a mercenary that can be hierd, but what about an assistant? One that you can say 'okay come along' and will stick with you, fighting along side from then on? Maybe give commands to along the way like stay put, or patrol an area while you're gathering items. They could be set to respawn x blocks from you when they die, or not respawn at all.
Somethng like that could be fun with out having to max out a mercenary.
Also I really dislike the dislog choice system... instead of that circle make it into a list instead. It can be hard to tell what part of that circle goes to what answer. And make a option that they wont repeat themselvs when spoken to again.. like a one time dialog.

One more thing. Are we supose to not be able to see added skins in the browser when we add them? I added five custom skins but they don't show up in the browser, but they show up if I manually type the file name in. Is it ment to be that way or is that a bug?

Where exactly did you add them too? And are you really a 100% certain they arent there?

it's possible to add custom skins. you just copy the skins you want to add, go to the minecraft.jar, go to mob, and add the skins to one of the custom npc models and it should show them in your browser; it worked for me.

Dont do that. You should add them too .minecraft/saves/your world/customnpcs/mob folder that way you can also export them with your world.

At the moment there is no clean way to check if you killed minecraft mobs. That will probably have to wait for the Minecraft API.
Well mostly need dwarf skins or elf skins. You dont NEED to be active btw, it is appreciated however

At the moment there is no clean way to check if you killed minecraft mobs. That will probably have to wait for the Minecraft API.
