Wow... i just notice that too. No horses are spawning. Even i cant find any structure that other mod make...
I got a seed to test horse generation if you want: 598695248
When you spawn look left, there's a horse spawn point by the river or simply enter /tp @p 200 70 -200
You will notice not only horses are affected but the number of passive mobs reduces significantly when the mod is installed, looks like it only generates chickens. Then test with CustomNPCs out, you will spawn amid cows, sheep and horses.
I removed all other mods (except Forge and CustomNPCs) to make sure if it is not a conflict with other mod.

Now this explains why I walked almost 1 kilometer with my NPC on a search for horses in my single player world and we haven't found any.
Is it just me or did the melee AI dumb down since 1.7.10b or it's just me forgetting something?
Back when I used 1.6.2, I've been doing Pony vs Pony NPC battles, the unarmed ponies (Pegasai and mostly earth ponies. Most of the pegasai were too weak in health to show their power.) went down at the ranged (Unicorns) like a boss. Nowadays they just attack once, take a stroll in the park for a couple minutes while being attacked then comes back at them, hits them and repeats. Eventually some melees kill rangers but still.
I can't seem to remove certain recipes though. The "Remove" button doesn't seem to do anything.
For some reason, I COULD remove the Carpentry Table recipe though.
The recipes that won't go away are the Mob-Editing Tools and Bullet recipes.
For now I've worked around this by giving them impossible recipes.
Also, I was wondering how exactly Natural Spawning works? Do NPC's spawn like regular mobs? Do they only spawn at night? Can they spawn again on the same spot after being perma-killed?

Well, I have a problem with the customnpcs.cfg on my cauldron server. Let me explain; I want to disable chatbubbles so I go to my server customnpcs.cfg and I switch the chatbubble option from "true" to "false". Save and quit the config file, restart my server, and THEN
chatbubble option seems to be back to the previous configuration, so chatbubbles are still allowed !!
I try again by stopping server, change config, start server: same issue...
In fact, everything I change in the config file isn't recorded when I restart my server, whatever I try it doesn't work.
Is any of you has an idea about this problem ? Does it occure on anyone else server ?

Have you tried changing the cfg while the server was turned off first, then turning the server on? If it still resets the cfg, it may be a bug. Also Noppes has a mod called More Player Models, which adds player chat bubbles, and those chat bubbles are turned of client side with f12 options.

In order to add your own textures to npcs, you will need a program called winrar. Right-click CustomNpcs.jar and open with winrar, next navigate in this order assets>customnpcs>textures>entity>(Then the entity skin type you want to add) If you go there you will see some example skin templates or if you are simply doing Human/elf/dwarf skins, you can get the png files from skindex. If you plan on making a modpack, each player will have to have the exact customnpcs that you have created, or else they won't see the skin on the npcs. Hope this helped.
So I just did this, but the old recipe still appears to be active.

But the NPC tools and Design Table recipes are removed now so problem solved I guess.
And It doesn't change anything, the config file is still reset at starting. I'v also the moreplayermodel mod installed and the chatbubble option is set on false too. If this is a bug is there anyone else who got this issue ?
I would recommend grabbing the 1.7.10b because c is still in testing and Noppes is busy with 1.8.
so not sure why but I dont have a npc spawner recipe in nei I tried the bread and sticks but only could make the wand and cloner and pather.
I never looked, but my best guess is it doesn't have a pre-set recipe like the other items. You can use the NPC Wand, then go into the global recipes tab and create one for it though if you want to.

The wand isnt doing anything when i right click the ground but it opens the nearby npcs window ?
This is what the NPC wand is supposed to do:
- right-click a solid block, it spawn a NPC with the setup window.
- right-click the air, it opens nearby NPCs window. You can click "Edit" to edit the nearby NPCs.
Right, i seen that but i think i looked at a older website that showed the "npc spawner" But still not sure why the wand isnt spawning in npcs when i right click it. no menu no nothin. like i said i can right click the air and get the nearby npcs but of course there is none because i havent been able to spawn any in.

Kal El the saiyan, you have another mod that is taking up the entity ids that customnpcs needs. To fix this go into your customnpcs config and change the 120 in this example to something bigger. Make sure UseUniqueEntities is set to false.
