What about the diamond golm? It troughs diamonds and leaves a trail of diamond slabs behind. Maby the endstone golm that teleports to mele attack enemy mobs.

I think you certainly need to add more powerful golems that can actually defend you. I also don't really like the idea that you can take a pumkin and two cobblestone and have an infinite source of redstone.
The next golem is a creeper golem... it is coming out in a bit ... also the redstone was removed if you read the info on the golem.
