I've read some people ask for a Headshot code... i've seen so many gun mods, and the only mod i've ever seen that had a Headshot mechanic was MineZ, and im not even sure if it was randomly given or actually based off the position.
So, i tought, can you put a collision code in the projectiles that checks if their position is high enough in comparison to the target entity and tell if its a headshot or not...? (That wouldnt work with special mobs though, like spiders or even Ghasts.)
Fantastic news ppls. I finally figured out how to make the mongoose, guns and overshields for armor work in multiplayer!
Just coded a shoot delay for the DMR and it should easily be copied over between other weapons! The overshield code is pretty much complete, just need to make the displaying of the shield 'health' look better (currently it is a number at the top middle of the screen ranging from 0 to 100). And last but not least, the mongoose! the controls work in mulitplayer, yay, but, oh noes a but... but the physics of the vehicle is preventing itself from moving (still works on LAN absolutely fine though).
So i'll spend some more time on the mongoose to see if i can get it to work on dedicated servers. Other than that, prepare for an exciting update! ETA? um, a good week? Oh and it will be for minecraft 1.6.2 still.
Good to see that your not KIA. Anyway, I have a bug with your mod. If I make a world with MC that has halocraft installed, I can access it again. But if I make a world on 1.6.2 without the mod installed, it'll be stuck on the 'building terrain' screen

Turn off the setting in the config (.minecraft/config/KILLERCHIEF_Halocraft.cfg) or backup your saves if you want them unedited!Otherwise when you use the saves without the mod, the game may crash on loading the save or your worlds would be screwed up!"Well, i haven't really looked at this issue much, that ^^ was only a guess at what might happen if you use saves with the mod installed, so i might have a look at it later...The update is now really close to completion, passengerable mongooses are now confirmed! just succeed with that. And the vehicle works on dedicated servers now (fixed the physics bug), but i also realized that there is no sound for mongooses on dedicated servers unfortunately. I just wana do some more testing and more fixes (if any) then i will compile and release! Can't wait to play this with other people ;D (the only reason why the mod is still being developed, the want for mp and funness!)

If you require aid with Custom NPC's give me a shout (In the thread, not PM's). I can read a bit of error reports, know most of the NPC workings (I'm attempting to work on scripting) and have been using it since its 1.0 version. Otherwise I'll help with any questions or problems I can.
Thanks guys for the support, and the ones that have stuck around for a while. So, the next update is out! It is one of my best as it is now Completely Multiplayer Compatible! Guns, Mongoose and all.
Report bugs if you find any. For example, the mongoose will keep going the direction you had the buttons pressed before you paused the game or opened your inventory (could be handy/useful).
I figured, after a while of making this mod, i don't really do what people suggest to make next, its what i have an idea on how to make (or that i'm lazy and don't want to implement the grunt or jackal) for example i was working on the deployable gravity lift which has some code from the mongoose ramming and soon the deployable trip mine which have some code similar to the passengerable mongoose entity and some other stuff i've discovered (which will be able to be attached to the mongoose and detonate when someone drives it (idea from the halo 3 beta))
I've also got some code together for an invisibility device, but the silly entity code enables the mobs to still see you so i decided to drop that for a while.
And while i was coding the new system for the gun shoot delay, i realized that i can also implement a system where the player could charge up the plasma pistol, spartan lazor (to be implemented ;), and better automatic shooting speed, ooh and locking rockets onto vehicles... haha.
Another thing i need to make is a reloading system... mmm, so many things to do...
