Thanks! i works, although when you craft the scoped gun you need it's ammo to be full and when you craft it it comes with no ammo... Also i can't aim with it, I'm pressing Z, holding it down and changing it but it doesn't zoom... D:
EDIT: When i press SHIFT it zooms in a bit. I don't have optifine
Pressing z changes the zoom level. To actually zoom in, you have to crouch while holding the gun.

My Website. I make mods for Minecraft and am also making my own game.
So, my inspiration has finally returned to me, and I'm coming up with features for the next update. Here's what I've got so far, tell me what you think:
Splitting the mod into "light" (less features but simpler to install, does not modify vanilla files) and "full" (more features but more awkward to install, modifies vanilla classes) versions. Despite the names, both versions are still free.
Bayonets for certain guns (musket, bolt-action, maybe LMG) using the existing gunblade code.
Abandoning the scope addon and instead putting scopes in the full version.*
The ramrod is getting its own texture instead of using the stick's texture.
Better gun enchantments.*
Some sort of old-fashioned rocket launcher. Probably two versions: a single use, ancient-Chinese-style paper rocket and a more modern, re-usable and more powerful one.
Implementation of semi- and fully-automatic guns.
*Only in full version due to vanilla modification

Having one anywhere in your inventory will double the fire rate of the flintlock, musket, and blunderbuss. It lasts for a few shots before wearing out, but I can't remember the exact number.

Oooh, I like the sound of rocket launchers! +1 for you, sir!
Okay, I'm off to watch Zisteau play Kaizo Caverns until 3 AM again.
I'm considering changing the double-barrel shotgun to fire two shots separately, with very short delay, rather than both at once. My reasoning behind this is as follows:
In real life, twin-barrel shotguns have two triggers and do, in fact, fire separately.
In Minecraft, mobs have a short period of invincibility after being hit, making more bullets at the same time effectively pointless.
It adds more versatility to the weapon, by allowing two very fast shots as well as firing one at a time.
Also, a few more ideas for features:
Special bomb types such as smoke bombs, fire bombs, and slime bombs.
Bullets break blocks based on the bullet's damage and the block's strength.
Incendiary shotgun ammo, which lights entities on fire similar to the flame enchantment.
Mines, which explode when stepped on and can be disguised as blocks.
Obviously, this won't all come in the same update. But since I've had this wonderful burst of inspiration, I thought I may as well announce my intentions.
I've also found a bug with bombs: Bombs will only set their fuse when they hit the top of a block, not the side. Also, sticky bombs will not stick to the side of blocks. Both of these will be fixed in the next update.
EDIT: For a separate mod, I've also come up with the idea of a compact BUD switch. For those of you that don't know what that is, a BUD switch outputs a redstone signal whenever a block is placed, destroyed, or changed. The current ones are bulky, expensive, and utilize a glitch that may not stick around forever. I'm thinking of making a mod that adds a one-block BUD switch.
theres a glitch where the scope can't be crafted as you say in the instructions. it might be a bug or it could just be my computer. could you please investigate??

Weird... The scope and scoped rifle don't even show up in TMI for me. When I release the next version, the scope will be included in the main mod. Until then, I'm sorry to say, but I can't do anything for you.

Please, sit down. Have a cookie, and maybe turn off capslock for a minute. Now, would you be so kind as to calmly and non-insultingly explain what exactly is "broken," along with a list of any other mods you have installed? If you got a crash report, it would be great if you would post that as well.

I've changed my mind on waiting to for 1.3 to update. Mojang has been taking their sweet time releasing 1.3, and I don't expect it to be out for at least another week. For that reason, I've decided to work on the next version of the mod and, hopefully, release it while 1.2.5 is still current.

NERDBOY, YOU JUST KEEP FINDING MORE WAYS TO MAKE ME LOVE YOU! (Sorry, thought you were ner-boy) I have been looking for an old fashioned gun mod since Ye Olde Minegunner was discontinued, great work.
Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem.

I have checked it on its own and it works. But it doesn't use any existing item IDs. (Due to changes i did in config to the gunracks: turning from 200-210 to starting at 206 and going to 216) but even with that, i cannot find what went wrong.

The problem is not with conflicting IDs. What happened is you ran out of block sprites, according to this line of the error report:
java.lang.Exception: No more empty terrain sprite indices left!
That's one of the dangers of having lots of mods, and unfortunately the only fix is to remove some of them. This is due to the rather inconvenient way Minecraft handles block and item sprites.

My computer has been running slowly recently (an update to Windows turned my CPU into a 1960's box of mechanical relays) so it's been difficult to get anything done in terms of coding. I can't play the game without closing everything else, so running both a test server and a client is impossible. I'm hoping I get something done, especially with all the new things I promised, but until I find a solution don't expect anything new.
