This is compatible with 1.4.7 right? Because I'm getting a black screen crash after the Mojang loader on a fresh install of Minecraft, Forge, then Metallurgy 2. I'm confus
conflict with another mod is most likely the cause, remove mods and re-add them one at a time until you get the black screen of doom again. Be sure to have metallurgy be the first mod you put into your mods folder.
also... Shadow... I so want a automatic minting system... manual takes far to long... @[email protected]
This can't be the cause since it's a clean install of Minecraft with nothing but Forge and Metallurgy. I suspect it may be the forge version I'm using.
I'm probably not the first person to ask about this but is there a way to make normal ores generate normally? I'm seeing diamond and redstone in the sides of cliffs where they shouldn't be. :/
Just wanted to say this is definitely the best ores mod I've ever installed. I've tried many, but none can compete with this. The idea of making alloys and such is great and really in depth. I'm even more pleased that it's not overly complicated with all these new machines and such - just dig, melt, upgrade, etc... It's really simple and perfectly well done. I love how there's always new ores to find, it really gives a big reason to keep exploring.
I read on the wiki that there's a Modern Metals pack in the works. All I'm going to say is, that looks above and beyond amazing - I'm ridiculously excited to get my hands on it. Any teasers or updates on it? I'm drooling over the uses of those ores, especially the uranium. I'm dying to get to play with all those new alloys and metals.
Keep up the good work - this is a must-have mod for me!

We stopped doing metal packs because we've hit a point where there's so many freaking metals. It may still come in the future however for those interested but there are other, higher priority things first.

Oh, I see. That sucks, the more the better in my opinion - no such thing as too many! ^^ Especially with more commonly known metals and alloys like stainless steel (and the possibilities with uranium). Anyway, the donator metals look awesome, especially that armor. Can't wait to see it when it's finished.
Shouldnt the Metallurgy API file include all sources for your Metallurgy 2 Core?
Oh and help for this post please:
Im using this with forge build 6.6.0.497, and some other mods(list)
Optifine_1.4.6_HD_U_B4
mod_TooManyItems
Smart Moving 12.0
Smart Render(included with Smart Moving 12.0)
SanAndreasPs Managers 1.3(This is to use Clay Soldiers Mod)
mod_Audiotori(for Alpha sounds, the ones implemented in 1.4 sucks to me)
Clay Soldiers Mod 9.0_05
CustomNPCs, latest version
Flan's Mod 2.1.1
Ingame NBTEdit 1.4.6.0
Invasion Mod 0.11.5
Portal Gun 1.4.6v2
And i get Blackscreen on startup when putting all Metallurgy 2 files in Mods folder.
The FML error log reads: "Couldnt find 1_4_6_CreativeTab.class"
And some other java things determining the fact that it is a ClassNotFound error
Ill try downloading latest version now, 6.6.0.497 may be outdated already.
EDIT: I also have Better World Generation 3 for Forge
I suggest posting the whole log, it'll help Keith and Shadow help you out in the long run. If your not sure which I'd just post both the forge log and the MC crash log.
Black Screens for whole minutes, theres no crash log and the only thing i can get out of FML log is the java errors occuring when
classes dosent exist. Im sorry, but theres no error log as of here only that 1_4_6_CreativeTab.class
cannot be found. This is only problem with the core
Just for future reference, the FML log is the crashlog, but with more info, and it's really hard to help without it.
This. Times 10. If you're using any other mods at all, don't use TMI. There are so many reasons why NEI is better -- recipe reading, not only for crafting and smelting but for mod machines; that OreDictionary plugin; better item searching and grouping; mob spawners that actually spawn which mob you want without rebooting Minecraft; and best of all, no base edits that require putting it in the jar.
Something I've noticed with IC2. Macerators seem able to accept any ores from Metallurgy, including ones unique to this mod. However, they won't touch glass.

what version are you using then?
Working on donator metals still, the 3D Armor Renders are going to be a pain, but I like the fancy armor.

I want to have your babies. Impractical in real life, I know, but... you know what I mean. Can't wait to see the renders of the armor.

KBI Enriched Gravel Mod -- sift out nuggets and chunks and make gravel useful! (Outdated)
Tinker's Construct Recovery Addon -- get back some of your half-used tool materials! (Outdated)
On an unrelated note, I totally agree with this.
