Some of the changes I input into the project tonight:
-Nether Fuel nerfed by 50%
-Nether Mining Levels upped (in anticipation of Nether Catalysts)
-Diamond Vein count fixed
-Iron Vein Spawns upped (but ore per vein nerfed, now there are 9 veins of 5 per chunk), Redstone Spawns fixed (they were 4/4 instead of 6/6)
-Damascus Steel Mining Level buffed
-Utility Ores mining level dropped (now mineable with Stone)
-Copper Pickaxe Mining Level fixed
-Enum Material fixes (Fantasy/Precious Tools should be acting normal now)
-Nether Furnace Speed Buff (Sanguinite now works in 2 seconds per operation)
-Base Alloy Recipe Fixes (Hepatizon/Damascus Steel were swapped)
So iron should be spawning more? I certainly hope so. In three world starts I have yet to see a single piece with the last code update. I have a similar problem with redstone. On Qwerty's server others are saying they're finding it, so I guess it must be spawning, but I have none at all of either.
Also, kinda sad to see the Enum fixes, though I know it's best. I have a couple Promethium pickaxes that have been great. Who needs upgrades, right? Oh well.

Redstone spawns got fixed, they were too low 4/4, instead of 6/6

Hmm, all this talk of the Twilight Forest so I had to try it out and see compatibility. And I know I've asked something like this before, but is there any chance of having dimention-specific ores possible in the config? Sometime in the future, of course, but I would still love to be able to make it so that only fantasy metals spawned there, or in the aether, or something like that.
That and generator-specific ores (like large biomes, skylands from BWG3, the caves mod, etc). Twilight Forest made me think about this all over again haha, it just seemed like the perfect place for magical ores. And I do feel that the overworld gets a little cluttered when I have every different possible type of ores set to be spawning there lol. Just another configurable thing I would love to see but would settle without.

This is part of the plan, that you'll be able to configure by ID which dimensions the ores can spawn on eventually.
Part of this is due to Ourea, which will allow players to spawn Fantasy Metals there and leave the real world to the rest.

Ahhh, that was the other idea I loved, the Ourea! That sounds like a great way of tackling the situation and gives great feature compatibility with other mods. Maybe if you only had 1 config setting for each "module" that said which dimension(s) that set of ores generate in, rather than one setting for each and every ore? That would probably be a lot easier to code too.
and edit: I can confirm that as far as I can see, the metallurgy ores currently spawn perfectly fine in the twilight forest.

Each set would have a config and you could list dimensions you want it to spawn in by ID, so..
Base Metals [0,3,4]
Nether Metals [1]
Fantasy Metals [0,5]
Would spawn them in Overworld (0), and whatever dimensions 3/4 would be. Nether would only spawn in Nether. Fantasy Metals would spawn in Overworld, Ourea, whatever.
This owuldn't circumvent the Smoothstone/Netherrack Requirement for ores to spawn though.

I wouldn't know this execpt for from randomly reading forge forum post. But modloader can only load so many sprites, using the addOverride method, metallurgy 2 uses a lot for the texture override stuff, and apparently herblore uses a lot individual sprites too. The sprite sheets don't count towards this limit only the individual 16x16 images. Try disabling texture overrides in the core config and see if the problem goes away.
Thanks, I'll try that. Also just thought that I would ask when we might be expecting the next update? And should I worry about fixing it before that? Not trying to be pushy, just saying that if it is coming out tomorrow that I might as well wait before getting it all fixed up.

Ok, I like it! That seems really good and well-implemented, I'm sure that would make plenty of people happy hah. And I'm guessing ender metals would be dimension 2?
(Now, if only there was a world gen type option too... (Base Metals: [All], Fantasy Metals [Caves, Skyland]) Hahaa jk but would be amazing on multiworld rpg servers)

I have no idea when Keith wants to push the next update, I assume soon because of the Enum fixes and name fixes.

Okay, so, I started playing this mod and everything (this is not a bug report) and it was running fine until I realized... Vanilla textures look like s***!!! So I couldn't find any HD Textures for it so I decided I would try to make my own (probably will be failed but can't hurt to try) and the TP I tried to make compatible with this was the 128x version of LB Photo Realism. So one thing about their pack is they already make the default tools look like they aren't perfect little tools, htey look realistic. So I figured I wouldn't have to change those items but since you change them, if i ran a TP would it change the tools in it or would those stay the same as they are in the TP?
Sorry if this doesn't make a whole lot of sense, I tend to ramble...

If you would be so kind as to give me an internets, I would be grateful to you forever.
For whoever it was that had the herblore error, you should bug the creator to use sprite sheets instead of a bunch of images. I don't think we can change ours, since we're editing base items

I'd love to see this fully supported (Except customizable, Cause personally, I'd use all the ores in twilight.)

Oh! Cool. Thanks. Not in any rush here, just was curious.
We need to rush Keithy, Otherwise he will get lazeh!
No, do not rush Keith or me or anyone. That will only get you murdered
The mod gets done when it gets done, no amount of coercion speeds that up.
