I'm here to ask this very-simple-yet-hard-to-find question.
Is there a way to have a dense ore generation?
What I mean is not ore vein size but different ores generating close to each other taking up much of the stone around them. For example if I where to use the default Buildcraft quarry size in one area, I want most of the stuff coming from the quarry to be ores and minerals.
But from what I was able to do was just made ores larger, and strangely only having less then 6 different ores showing up, and in my last attempt I only got 2 different ores.
So is there a way to make more denser ore generation or not?
oh and here is what i used in my last and previous setting

The config just changes the individual veins, not how close they are to each other. I think you have to get a different mod if you want to change the way ore veins generate.

K so here is what happens. I download the Metallurgy core .jar file, and put it in the mods folder. Then I run minecraft, and the launcher goes off without a hit. But before minecraft starts, an error message comes up saying Do not put metallurgy in the coremods folder! Move it to the mods folder! Weird thing is, the window looks like the forge installation window. And there is no coremods folder.
(Only other mod i have on is optifine, and i don't know how to remove that.)
I tried it with a new Forge, minus optifine. Same result.

Did you get KeithyUtils?

The more things change, the more they seem to stay the damn same.
I've stopped playing Minecraft years ago, but I'm still around to offer technical support.
If you're still reading this, have a wonderful day!
yes, i got keithyutils. am i supposed to put that and the core .jar in the mods folder, as well as the folders for the ores i want? the site didnt really specify.

Is there a way to pipe in lava into a smelter without having to use buckets? I used a forestry setup to make renewable lava and it'd be nice to have an always full smelter.

did you download and placed KeithyUtils with Metallurgy? if not go to curse forge and look at the main page, you'll see the link need to get and download this essential mod for Metallurgy 3.
In the future, please take your time and read the more important bits of any mod. Excluding of course what it contains.

Minecraft is approximately 1/100 the volume of the sun, and approximately 100 times that of the earth.
Do you know the metals atlarus and adamintine, they are way too rare, it took me over 2 hours to find 2 atlarus ores, and about and hour to find 3 adamintine ores, i am going to tweak the rartiy of the ores in the config file, change to 2 or 3 veins per chunk instead of 1 for both of them just to make it a little easier, you probably know both are the two rarest ores, especially atlarus ore.
S:Diminsions=0 2-100000
I:"Max Height"=128
I:"Min Height"=0
I:"Vein Chance"=500
I:"Vein Density"=100
I:"Vein Size"=24
I:"Veins Per Chunk"=2
S:Diminsions=0 2-100000
I:"Max Height"=128
I:"Min Height"=0
I:"Vein Chance"=100
I:"Vein Density"=100
I:"Vein Size"=24
I:"Veins Per Chunk"=8
The config just changes the individual veins, not how close they are to each other. I think you have to get a different mod if you want to change the way ore veins generate.
aw well that's lame...... thanks for the fast reply to my dumb question
This is on the list of maybe mods!
If I helped in any way, feel free to drop me an Internet:
Or some Blue XP:
A test to see what number is most thought of when a 1-10 choice is given: strawpoll.me/4012187
Don't think about it, just click on the first one that comes to you!
(I'm not talking about when you wear it, I'm talking about the ITEM textures.)
How do I do this?
(Only other mod i have on is optifine, and i don't know how to remove that.)
I tried it with a new Forge, minus optifine. Same result.
Did you get KeithyUtils?
Won't work with latest build of Factorization for some reason.
I only ask this since I have found this mod called, Custom Ore Generation.
What this mod does is simple, as long as a mod that generates ores using WorldGenMineable it can change density, size, and even shape.
I would like to have some info on this so I can write a config for Metallugy 3.2.3 and, hopefully, make it work
