He didnt steal this and it is 100% his own code.
There are 2 other recipe books I know of, One is risugamis one. And is the hated version which only shows 4 recipes a page and requires endless clicking.
The other is NEI, Not enough items, It features a cheating mode as well as recipe mode.
In my opinion this mod is better then NEI tho many care to disagree
is there some way to pick an item in your inventory and show all the things you can make with it?

Hey, I've got a great feature you could add. How about taking the thing you did with crafting type filters and apply it to items? I am using the hangable maps mod, and it winds up taking up almost all of the books space with redundant recipes, one for each data value from 0 to 65535. I would love to be able to just exclude any recipes that include a map right now.
I'm having this same problem. Does anybody know of a way I can maybe remove the majority of these recipes from being displayed in CraftGuide?
sorry you did not mention SMP 1.2.3 or 1.2.4?
if its for 1.2.4 could you make a 1.2.3 version?

Yet another feature he could incorperate
I would also love a crafting mode where you can select a recipe, As well as drag/drop a item into the search box from your inventory.
