When I try to download, the download site "does not exist".............................
[...]
And the DL link is working now
I'm glad it worked out. Unfortunately it happens from time to time that the server of the freehoster which counts the downloads (pilze-sammeln.freehostia.com) doesn't work properly (I need this freehoster since my server (spiele-cu.ch) doesn't support the necessary database). The only thing an user can do is to retry the download later. I'm sorry .

Not your fault, it is their business and they are responsible for its operating....or lack thereof!
I am enjoying the mod quite a bit, I had used to use a Single Player Trading mod that made a "store" (really just a book you click) to sell unwanted items, I had not realized just how much extra accumulates until that mod stopped updating.
I had chests filling up, and hated to lava dump it
Now I can get rid of some of it without "waste"
Though I am wondering if items such as tools will be recycleable? And if so, how would it be managed?
Though I am wondering if items such as tools will be recycleable? And if so, how would it be managed?
Tools - along with other Blocks/Items - will become recyclable. I want them to recycle into their components, according to their damage. Let's make an example with a golden pickaxe:
Undamaged Pickaxe = 3 Gold Ingots, 2 Sticks.
Damaged Pickaxe (let's say, 11 Blocks mined) = 2 Gold Ingots, 1 Stick, 1/3 Stick. Yes, one third Stick. This fragment can be thrown away or used with an other 2/3 Stick in the crafting table (or maybe the anvil) to make it back to 1 Stick.
Off we go with an other example; A diamond shovel.
Let's pretend you dig up 5 Blocks and recycle the shovel afterwards.
You get: A 1557/1562 Diamond, 1 Stick and a 776/1562 Stick. And now you craft an other diamond shovel, dig up again 5 Blocks and recycle this shovel (I don't know why you should do that...). Now you have 2 1557/1562 Diamonds and 2 fractured Sticks (I will ignore the sticks from now on). At this point, you should be able to put the fragmented Diamonds together and receive 1 Diamond + a 1552/1562 Diamond (left in the crafting table/anvil like the Milk-bucket in the Cake-recipe).
Okay, that's a bit too much mathematics for this evening... But my plan behind is simple; You get, what you put in, minus what you used up. Using this way also can turn Wooden Planks back to Wood Blocks.
By the way, with the new enchanting books I may also be able to give back the enchantments ...
But all of this upgrades are far away... First, I need to survive the "end of the world". Second, I need to survive Chrismas (that's probably the bigger challenge then the 21. December )... After that, I'm going to update this Mod for Minecraft 1.4.6. Then... I wait for Minecraft 1.5 (which should make coding a bit more... easier. Even if I need to update again). And then I will implement this feature . Nevertheless, I'm already working on it .
However, there are several (no existing) Mods which can recycle undamaged Tools... Like CJB Mods (wait, no! I just realized he won't update anymore!*), CraftBack (okay, at the moment not for the full tool) or may some day Equivalent Exchange 3 (EE2 was able to "recycle" even damaged tools).
I wish you and everyone else merry Christmas and a happy new year !
*: Harrison_TOM just updated the CJB-Mods for 1.4.6... You can find it here. But I don't know if there is still a Recycler in this new CJB-package...
Happy Holidays Valares! No doubt, your Recycler mod is still the best one out there...
Thank you so much, ea757! That's a huge compliment !
I'm survived the end of the world, Christmas, and the New Year's Eve somehow, even though I'm a little bit sick. However, the new version of the Recycler for 1.4.6 is here... Enjoy !
Viel Spass !
And here it is: Update to 1.4.7 with some bugfixes!
And some "Did you know...":
Using the Recycler will allow you to correct typing mistake in your Written Books ingame.
As a rather unintentionally side-effect you can generate nearly unlimited diamonds if you get a Blacksmith who sell Diamond-Armor to you.
The newest version contains a Bugfix for the normal Recycler.
While working on 4 projects simultaneously I've obviously lost my mind. After doing some really weird stuff, I've maybe found a cool enhancement for the Recycler. Here's a Snapshot of the work-in-progress thing...:
I could do a poll, but I'm pretty sure I already know the end of it:
1 - Jeah, that looks cool!
612 - Man, it's Saint Valentine's Day, not April Fools' Day!
By the way...: Yes, that is a Cow. Or a Pig. Or something between (or together). PS: Ignore that strange light.
At the moment, I need to edit a base-class. I won't release this enhancement in the regular Recycler until I'm able to integrate it without editing an other class. Maybe it come as an alternativ download or something, otherwise you may need to wait... wait a long time... maybe until the Mod-API is released. (Subtle hint: I wont implement a Cow/Pig-hybrid, just saying.)
Well, I've got the Pow/Cig somehow into the Recycler without editing any additional Minecraft-class, in accordance of my motto...
It was a lot of work for something, that maybe no one will ever able to see...
Let's wait...
Due the fact, that the free-hoster I used to count downloads was most of the time offline (and for the last two weeks it was a torture to use it), I've moved the hole thing to my new, faster and better Server! No more redirects and hopefully lesser failures. And you still get this Mod right away without any annoying advertisements. Have fun!
Viel Spass!
Updated for 1.5... just in time ...
But be warned, this Version can be unstable.
I'm considering to drop ModLoader-Support and switch to Forge. This may result in a incompatibility towards the older Versions. Let me know how you think about that.
Schreib mir, was Du davon hältst.
Hi,
you have a two reviews in differents languages and, Do you want other language? One review in spanish
Hello ArmandoDiaz
Yes, I would really enjoy a review in Spanish . But you want to maybe wait for the next version of the Recycler, because the current one is possibly unstable.
