Stop! Read all of this post before you do anything!!
Thank you Yoraiz0r for the texture!
What does this mod do?
It takes in water/lava from any side and fills its internal tank (about 10 buckets of space) and you can pump out of its internal tank if you need to.
The left hand slot takes empty buckets/Cells (and is piped in from the bottom or top) and the right outputs the result (can be removed from any side other than bottom or top).
It will need to be powered (it uses similar power to a pump).
It will also fill the tank from a full bucket.
NEW:
Self powered bucket filler is just a bucket filler with built in engines.
Water Generator is a pump with an internal infinite water source. It will run fine with 4 redstone engines by default (but will try to use as much power as it can).
Why did you make this?
IC2 is the only reason. So i can make geothermal generators that are totally automated.
How to Install
This is the same for Client and Server.
Installing in the mods folder will not work on Linux or Mac!!!
You can attempt to install by placing the zip file directly into the mods folder in the .minecraft directory, Only do this if you have installed buildcraft this way!
If this does not work simply drag the files from the zip into your jar file same as you did for modloader, forge, etc.
If that still doesn't work then make sure you have buildcraft installed the same way.
Note: This will not work by default with the technic pack, i know and im really happy that it doesnt, if you are to lazy/stupid that you cant fix this problem or install the mods you want normaly then thats not my problem.
Note: Installation using the mods folder is untested and unsupported. As is installation using any installer not produced by me. (IE MCPatcher, HDPatcher, etc)
Recipe:

Self Powered Bucket Filler
This changes based on the "FillBucketEnergy" (the power needed to fill a bucket) option in the config.

Your face looks stupid! And is that even a question?
Yoraiz0r made it go tell him :tongue.gif:
How do i change the block id?
After the first load if you look in /buildcraft/config/Bucketfiller.cfg.
Stop! Congrats for getting this far have your read everything? Good now if you have problems please before you post, reinstall from a FRESH JAR with just buildcraft and this mod (and what ever buildcraft needs to work). If that doesn't work read the last 3 pages. If your problem still isn't fixed then post will a full error report in a spoiler tag!
Do Not ask if or when this will be updated!! I will delay the release when it is done if you do, or worse i will develop a way to disable the mod for everyone who asks.

okay, i got problem... I placed the mod into the mod folder and somehow, it doesn't work [got a crash thing].
Then, I saw that post:
How to Install
This is the same for Client and Server.
1. You must have buildcraft installed in the jar.
2. Just drop the files from the zip into your jar.
Note: Installation using the mods folder is untested and unsupported.
So, I'm suppose to post the mod into the minecraft.jar file? err.. i don't like that, but make it into mod folder please. :smile.gif:
Appears I found a bug of some sort. Filling the filler with water from a pump until the GUI display says its full then disconnecting the water pipes and running a full chest of buckets through it does not drain it of water. I had 27 empty buckets and got 27 water filled buckets and a full tank inside the filler still. Tested as well with lava, 9 source blocks turned into 27 lava buckets.

odd i will test it when i get back from work is this on SSP, SMP or both?
It was working fine when i took the pictures. I need to change its texture anyway so i will alter the filling code a bit at the same time.
Edit: i think i have worked it out.
i have also made it take time to do the job (something that it was meant to do but didn't)
How long do you think it should take to complete? (a furnace is 200) I have it set at the moment to 50 (1/4 of a furnace's time)
And on top of that i have made the arrow on the GUI reflect this (i hope :tongue.gif:)
edit edit: Has anyone ever tried using a filler with buckets? i think it should work and would negate the need for a tap block.
edit edit edit: I also increased the amount of liquid it can hold from 4 to 16 (a normal tank).
Thats a very nice doulbe slab texture you have there. Be a shame if it didnt look good with default textures...
I have been waiting till i had some real code to fix before i put one up that is textured. I'm going to make it use so parts from the build craft one so it will fit in until i get a better one made. i will put the new update up in about 6hrs if bug testing goes well.
edit: not sure how well it will work but if testing goes well the next version will have the time it takes to fill a bucket modulated by how much energy it is getting.
Tested on Single player only, 50 sounds fine I think but I'd have to test it to be sure. If it's 50 with a redstone engine cool, but I think anything faster might be a bit crazy. Now hurry up and get this ready my 1.8.1 map is needing a power supply upgrade and geo therm is the next step. :tongue.gif:
because its much more compressed when you can put them in chests and this way if you have a long ass pipe system you dont have to make crap loads of pipe to connect them and its not as cluttered

Everybody's different I guess. I'd rather have the filler in one spot and the long ass pipes, than drag those damn buckets around all of the time. I already do enough of that! :smile.gif:
Eagerly awaiting this one.
Great job.
Thank you Yoraiz0r for the texture!

When i get home (at work at the moment).
The GUI is done and is what you would expect but the block has no texture of its own atm.
[and don't forget my suggestion :3]

Why would you want them in buckets? i mean i can but i never found a good reason to have them in buckets.
