Would there be any possibility of a config option to modify the chance of receiving Railcraft loot in Dungeon chests? I know SirSengir mentioned doing so for Froestry.
I've opened at least 4 chests so far and almost all of the loot has been railcarts and other stuff from the mod (three crowbars in one chest!). I used to be eager to plunder a dungeon, but to be honest, I can already craft all this stuff if I want.

Hmm...I could but it sounds like its messed up anyway. I'll reduce the chances across the board.
Thank you! I love the mod, but getting minecarts and crowbars in dungeon chests is like getting sweaters and socks for Christmas. Sure, they're needed, but not much fun. :smile.gif:

The problem is likely TooManyItems, as it usually is in any issue involving that mod.
If the items can be crafted manually, but are not showing up in TMI, then it's a TMI issue. Best to direct your inquiry accordingly.

Ah, OK. I see now. Probably due to the metadata. I'm surte some kind of plugin could be made like there is for RedPower - but I'm not a programmer so I'm only going by what I know.

I think I found a bug. When I go to make an Iron shovel, it tries to make gold plated rail. Is there a block ID I can change somewhere? I looked in the config and can't find gold plated rail.
Hi,
Im newish to minecraft and have loaded this mod as per the wiki instructions (core, rails, factory, extras, Automation, Buildcraft etc). I want to use the mod primarily for the tunneler train (thought it would be fun) so made the train and a diamond drill head.
I went down my mine and placed the train on 2 pieces of normal track i had made already. I loaded the diamond head, 2 stacks of gravel and 3 other bits of normal track then went to load the coke coal (made from the coke oven i had made earlier). As soon i placed the coke coal in the gui minecraft went instantly to a messed up (double images) "saving chunks" screen then crashed. I have tried it with Coke Coal and normal coal and it does the same everytime.
Im hoping someone has a solution else i fear i will have to uninstall it as its frustrating to have it crash when i need it to do what i installed it for.
Thanks for any replies. Glenn
p.S the only other mod i have running at the same time is Fossil Mod 1.1
You installed buildcraft's addon for RC. It won't work if you don't have buildcraft.

Too addicted with Counter-Strike: Source for some reason...
[Re: chunkloading]
No, no it does not. I've looked at the code. It simply reloads the chunk every time its unloaded. So the game basically unloads the chunk one tick, then reloads it the next. As a coder, I simply cannot endorse such a hack in good faith. Besides, it doesn't work well with minecarts anyway. The constant unloading tends to kill their momentum.
Ah, my bad. That was the way they were described on his thread. Sure would be cool to have something that would make long range tank/chest-cart systems feasible.

Find your Forge zip, locate afd.class, put it in your jar. play.
Question here, or possibly a bug report:
I use Railcraft along with TMI, MagicWands, RedPower and ComputerCraft. Everything was fine after doing RP's ID remaps. The problem is that every time a chestcart gets destroyed (in any way, by hand, by sword, by dropping into lava, by TNT, by whatever) the game crashes. Having lots of chestcarts on a side track, and I don't know what to do with them, as I am unable to get rid of them. What would be a solution?
I haven't noticed any crashlog being created in game's directory. The crash looks as follows: black screen instead of game, for a fraction of second I can see Java message about something went wrong, but I was unable to capture it on a screenshot.
Hey, we updated our server first to 3.1 now to 3.2 and all items from railcraft changed their IDs.
For example coke are item unloader now and weve 10 stack of it :biggrin.gif:.
Would be nice if the next update u wont change the IDs for existing items(if possible ofc).
Should not have happened unless you deleted your config file. The last versions to possess that bug was the 2.x series. It should have been fixed in 3.x. Railcraft will only re-assign ids if there is no existing config tag for that item.
After I updated from 3.0 to 3.1, I have found myself unable to craft holding or boarding rails any longer nor open the inventory of the tunnel bore to insert the head, coal, gravel, or rail. I have tried using 3.1's complete pack and the individual modules and neither way are yielding any answers! I am fairly sure I have the mod installed correctly since it worked in 3.0 and I don't believe I have added any new mods since then. Any advice you can give me? Thanks for all your hard work and a great mod! :smile.gif:

Hmm...are those the only rails you can't craft?
You might try a fresh jar. I can't think of anything off-hand that could cause those symptoms. SPC has been known to cause random bugs.
There is not, its a trivial change on SSP, but very difficult in SMP. Hence the reason Forge hasn't added a hook yet.
Is it only Infrastructure items?

Care to send me that(those) config file(s)?
Cool thanks man.
edit: Nevermind. i found after posting this, go figure.

thanks for the "complete" package zip file.
really helps a lot.
way to go
I think I fixed it, but I can't test so...

That bug was fixed in version 3.1.0, please update.
