Hello, here is my idea for a Generator:
Make it basically the opposite of the usual generator (Bedrock is still at the bottom, and 1 layer of dirt at the top for trees) peaceful mobs spawn at night, vice versa trees spawn on underground villages above ground dungeons ect. peaceful mobs attack you (only in the day time).
**vice versa trees spawn on underground villages above ground dungeons ect**
While the idea of a reversed generator and cave trees sounds epic, I've tried making underground trees for quite some time, each time ended up with some horrible messed up generator that I usually just deleted. *I'l keep trying though. It's too epic of an idea to not do*
The villiage spawning also may be a bit of a hassle, but there's probably away around it, and i'm pretty sure I could get dungeons generating on the surface.
The peaceful / harmful mob characteristic swap would also be pretty easy to do. So I'll start with that.
*But It's technically not a generator until I fix the inside out aspect, which is bit rough to make.*

Gavebom's Generator("The Dread Forest Generator")
Screenshots:
*Enderman spawned in the darkness* *Trees are now REALLY tall*
What it does:
-Generates dense jungle biomes with a thick canopy.
-Leaves are less transparent, and let less light through them
+Monstors spawn on the jungle floor due to the leave opacity edit
-New jungle no longer generates shrubs (they were pesky and annoying. They overcrowded the jungle floor)
-New Jungle has more sand / clay / reeds / cacti /flowers / mushrooms than vanillia (vanillia for most was = 0)
--This will take longer than usual to generate, and I STRONGLY suggest using optifine due to lag spikes when generating new chunks.
How It Works: (TL;DR version, AKA the quickly written version)
Leaves had their opacity set to the level of 6, but they were at 1. Then, all biomes were set to generate jungle biomes. Next, the properties of trees in the 'BiomeGenJungle.java' were changed to make them taller. Finally, mushrooms, cacti, reeds, waterlilies, sand, and clay were set to generate in the jungle.
Please make a flatland generator, like 64 blocks high, grass on top, 3 layers of dirt, then stone until the bedrock. Also please make it have random biomes and with randomly generated trees and underground content. Thanks.
Well, i would love to play this mod but i installed it with a vanilla minecraft jar file and removed the Meta thingy and logged in but it just gave me a black screen. So i force updated and put it in again, still just a black screen. any suggestions? oh and btw i tried to download the sky mountain generator.

You forgot modloader. And if your computer is slow, add the optifine mod.

Could i request an addition to my generator?
I really like it, but i miss one thing, I used to have a mod that made netherrack slowly "corrupt" anything not belonging in the Nether, changing stone into more netherrack, sometimes burning netherrack, glowstone, gravel and what not. If you could make my generator do that too (but not at a very fast rate, you shouldn't notice anything on the surface until like 15 minecrafts days), that would be amazing.
Of course, if you don't want to, don't do it, the generator is quite fine as it is!
Just got home from a bike ride. I'll start both after i eat a snack.
I would like to make a request, how about a opposite world type? Grass is stone, stone is grass? Patches of clay, underground dirt and gravel, underground pools of lava and water could be ores?
EDIT: One more, a mountain generator with mountains everywhere, but like 150 blocks high, above the clouds.
I don't think i ever mentioned it. I'll fix that right away.
ok new problemo its installed and minecraft isnt having any errors but i cant figure out how to get it to work. i spawned a world and i wasnt on an island and i didnt see an option. is it like a biome? i know it worked cause i checked the ModLoader text showing startup text and it said the mod was loaded.

Are you in a jungle? If so, dig down. If you dragged in all the files, you should fall to your death after around 50-40 blocks of digging. The islands are usually larger, but the screenshot islands are tiny ones that spawned near me when I loaded the world.

Gen 1 : I would like to make a request, how about a opposite world type? Grass is stone, stone is grass? Patches of clay, underground dirt and gravel, underground pools of lava and water could be ores?
Gen 2 :EDIT: One more, a mountain generator with mountains everywhere, but like 150 blocks high, above the clouds.
Gen 1, certainly. I;ll do that soon.
Gen 2, much to my disappointment, Blocks will not generate naturally past Y level 128. Cloud level is around 100ish last time I checked. I would love to make some cool mountains but I haven't found out why it does that yet.

Please consider this idea
Thnx,

Use a fresh minecraft.jar when installing this mod.
Make sure you have modloader (and for FPS purposes, Optifine) installed, then drag in ALL the files from the nightmare generator.zip
If you dragged in all the files it should be stuck at midnight. Otherwise, you missed a file.
Like I said It WILL be difficult. But, I WILL eventually find out how to make it. Also, I think I need to redo the signature. the HTML is messed up.
EDIT : Yeah, the signature HTML was messed up. Now, here's the new instructions for supporting the thread :
don't click this link...

How did I manage to mess that up? Oh well, there's the banner code to put in your signature now if you want to support the thread.
his/her username.
great mods btw
That and originally, back in october (2011), I only had one generator and it was named the "cake" generator.
And thank you

oh i didnt see anything about modloader in the main post

The entire world should be made of jungle biomes, but all floating on small to massive sized islands.
