One major problem that I've found, and I don't know if this happens to everybody, but when I logged out and back in for the first time, all the NPCs were moved slightly. The baker/farmer was suffocating in some grass, the smith was far down the road, the inn keeper was trying to run out of the guild, and after 2 minutes I managed to put them all back by pushing them/hitting them, but I can't find the guild master... D;
Had some time to spare, so made a few banners...sorry if they're a bit dark. o.O" Looked a lot better when I was making them.
And for those looking for a place to stay in the guild, one of the rooms on the top floor has two 'beds' in, and two chests. Just remove everything in the room, add a bed, couple of torches, put the two chests you picked up back down, and add furnaces/crafting table...and you've got a rather nice room. =) Also, the guildies don't spawn in there, so as long as you remember to close the door, it'll be nice and private~
Mod crashes when I tell the city builder to build my town.
Unfortunately I cannot find my java icon (cannot get java error console open to view the errors), but I am running only this mod and it crashes every time I right-click on the city builder once I arrive at the destination where I'd like to build my town.
I think I am over 200 blocks away from the town, but the screen goes black after saving chucnks. This happens only when I right-click on the town builder after he has followed me to the point where I'd like my town to be built. To clarify, I am able to get him to follow me, but once I right-click on him to build my town, the screen goes black. When I relogin, I am where I left off (the place where my new city should be), but there is no town there. The town builder is back in the guild, waiting for me. I can right-click on him, he will follow me, but the whole thing will happen again at any location where I attempt to build my city.
Please advise, thanks! Also if someone could help me locate my java icon (it's not in the hidden icons tray), that could help out too. THanks~!
I realize without an error log this doesn't help much, so here is more info:

Java v6 Update 27 (1.6.0_27_b07)
Edit: I can only get the java console to appear when I try to run MC in a browser, and I don't think that would be very helpful? Well, here it is...
I have istalled the mod, followed the instructions, did everything right (i think :unsure.gif: ) i dont get a black screen, and i can open the game. BUT the mod "isnt" installed! :blink.gif: i mean, why? (the message "start new conquest" does not appear.
noob to this mod, so if I sleep in a bed somewhere else and reset my original spawn point, then it would ruin the Tale of Kingdoms storyline?
I signed the contract, built a house close to the Castle, doing my regular routine, collecting, planting, mining, and killing mobs and getting gold.
Plan on returning at some point to sell my gathering of resources and buy things with my gold.
I have a feeling that I'm playing this mod wrong doing so.
When Tyber says "you somehow moved your spawn point" he means with MCedit or other program. You can sleep in a bed just fine, I've done it plenty of times before. Changing your spawn through the course of the game should not affect anything.
And also, playing the way you've described is not WRONG in any way! It's still Minecraft after all, and you can play any way you wish.
So far I'm enjoying this awesome mod but I've encountered one key problem, which I don't know if anyone else has. I can't use shopkeepers, I can talk the guildmaster and the innkeeper just fine, but whenever I talk to the shopkeepers minecraft gets really slow and I can't click on anything. The menu for buying stuff still appears as well. Any help on this will be appreciated
DOWNLOAD
Requires Latest ModLoader, if you don't know what modloader is please click this link- Installation!- it is simple, put the zip file in the mod's folder in the .minecraft folder. Don't extract it to the bin nor extract it in the mod folder!
MCver 1.8.1 put in mods folder *requires modloader. Download Link here-Mirror Link here- The Tale of Kingdoms Ver 1.0.5-NOTE! the new version doesn't use the spawnpoint anymore, so all the progress will reset. I am sorry but this will prevent further missing people for the next updates. If you don't encounter problems with the mod now, it is best not to update!
How to install video by Etalyx!

FAQ
-The villagers are gone when I explored! How could I get them back! just re-login and everyone should be back.
-But I re-login in already and they are still not there. You somehow moved your spawnpoint using MC edit. Sleeping doesn't affect the spawnpoint. Also, you may have deleted your save file.
-I used the fix option! now my stuff in the chests are gone! You shouldn't put your stuff in other's chest anyways! but yeah, it replaces the chests as well when you fix the building
-How far away from the guild do I need to be to build a town? 200 blocks. If you are going diagonal, things will really look far, go perpendicular with the sun or the moon :smile.gif:
-Does this work on SMP? Nope, sorry.
-I got this error! help! java.lang.ClassFormatError: Invalid this class index 537 in constant pool in class file WorldGenCreateGuild You failed to read instruction in installing. Don't extract it in the bin.
please please please read the instructions, you don't extract it in the bin!
Also, I can't fix your problems if you don't give me an error report. Saying it doesn't work, my game crashed, its laggy as hell, etc won't make me help you because I have no basis what so ever on what is causing this.
In short: "Error Log or it didn't happen"
Here is something as well that might help you if you do encounter errors:

PREVIEW:
They have come from the nether and they are destructive. They are hard to kill. They use illusions, and maybe leave flames in their path. They have attacked your kingdom and burned your lands. The darkness is coming.
for those who just want the merchant mod only copy :smile.gif: Link : Here .
Thank you so much Collin Scarborough, Jaime Ramos, Anthony Ayre, Michael Lohmann, Brian Rands, Tim Graham, Damià Pastor Pons and chokato hutt for the donations!
How I manage the mod.
-No block ids, and 1 item id that is configurable, so it should fit in all mod packs.
-Doesn't modify any class files, it mostly uses functions that minecraft offers. So it shouldn't be incompatible with other mods.
-Small O.P. watch the video if you want to know about the mod, this will ensure that you will learn everything needed for the mod because long O.Ps are boring to read.
-Few versions so that it won't be a hassle for those who has mod packs to upgrade every time, I will throw in big updates if I think the content added is large enough.
-Everything should only need modloader and probably audiomod in the future. Nothing else.
-easy installation, its just drag and drop to mod folder.

Having spent some time on teir 2 now and the barracks, playing around with my first troops, I have to say my pet wolves are far, far smarter than the men I am hiring. They don't wander off insane distances, they don't shoot eachother (or me!!) in the face, and most of all they don't kamakazi on creepers. I can leave troops to guard the city and come back to find them all replaced by craters. Unless I'm actively training them, I'm keeping them locked up in the barracks so they dont hurt themselves. --;
I'd suggest for the future, try to improve their AI a bit, at least make them stay away from creepers like the wolves do. An ability to heal them would also be useful, be able to throw some bread at them to get their health back up after a night of being stupid while monster hunting XD
I was wondering if you could add small villages that can be added once your town is fully upgraded? i.e.: agriculture village where the villagers give your castle wheat/melons/pumpkins as tribute, mining village where they give you cobble/iron/coal, and industrial village were you can set it so that resources from your other two villages are sent here and turned into pre-set items. Also could you add a gate in and make it so enderman auto die when they get close? Having to repair my walls just because a enderman takes a few blocks out is insane... My final two ideas are: street lamps so that creepers and mobs don't spawn inside your walls, and ability to make soldiers patrol your walls and control them from the barracks (like you can recall certain ones) kind of like the city map from millenaire inside the barracks(maybe also be able to arm your soldiers with different weapons? so i can give them halberds and crossbows from balkons weapon mod :} )
You get many for making this AMAZING mod

I can't be the only one who hates people who quote the entire OP just to ask a question that has been answered 9001 times?
Argh, if only I hadn't retired...
This mod works amazingly with Mo' creatures. i love going around on my noble steed with my knights following me from behind to fight mobs :biggrin.gif: truly awesome mod but i would like to suggest another soldier type to buy, horsemen. not nessesarily mo creatures horses but you could buy a horseman for lets say 2000 and he would move faster then normal footmen and be able to jump two blocks, and do less damage then normal infanty, but have more health. also the upgrade once they have gained enough experience could be they get to switch between bow and sword depending on how far away the mob there fighting is
Ah, shame. I'm afraid you'll have to wait for Alyx to get back, then. =/ Unless you have Single Player Commands, which I believe you can use to spawn a new one....
like me i had to respawn mine 4 times DAMNED CREEPERS!!
