I am still working on tier 3 NPCs currently. Also, I don't have a castle design yet :sad.gif:

Also, please tell the ignorant people that I made the merchant mod. They seem to say that I stole it..

So I got everything to install correctly (no crashes or anything at least) but for some reason hostile mobs don't spawn at all so there is no way for me to get rep. I tried searching this thread and the forums at large and can't seem to find this particular problem. Most of what I've found is people not getting NPC's at all. Only thing I can think of is its somehow reverting to creative mode or something, so I created a new world and made absolutely sure it was on survival with the exact same result: no monsters. Not even from monster spawners which I was able to locate in my (lonely) travels.

Is there some obvious oversight I've made? I has a confuse.

Check you difficulity settings monster will only spawn at normal>

Obvious oversight indeed.

So used to playing SMP where that doesnt matter. Fail.

Here are some of my ideas that could be implemented:

stage 3 should defantly feature a castle a upgraded barracks that can auto spawn warriors and such or make them cheaper because you are entering a new stage where you are a king against an evil so it would be natural to have a system like that or make a king assistant that allows you to hire Protection for your City, command villagers to gather resources build mines ect. all form your throne also the castle should include a workshop inside it and a storage cellar also you should have a upgrade to the shop that will build a Forge master Workshop what will allow for armor and weapon upgrades for all of your forces and allow you to repair your weapons

stage 4 could be like a empire stage you could have multiple cities transferring goods troops ect between each other real time so you could have roads that the Citizens walk (or drive) if you could add carts with horses you could have the carts get upgrades like more horses for speed or more wood for bandit protection or more storage for different jobs assign troops to guard caravans and so forth assign mayors to run the cities and make an empire you could also make a big nether gate and make strongholds in side the nether to try to combat the evil forces and vise versa where they build strong holds to fight you you could try to take over each others cities until you kill their king not only that but you could add in cities/towns that belong to other civilizations you could befriend trade and ally for fight ravage and take the city for yourself while still being a person and walking out the front gate of your city (if you could code in giant doors lol) and kill mobs like the Player you are

other ideas rated on 1-10 10 being the most wanted by me(and hopefully others) and 1 being something we want but it doesn't have to be in if you don't want to:
* Mages/Wizards with a wizard tower in town 6
* Thicker City walls with archer towers 7
* Moats 3
* Quests 5
* Personal living space like a castle or city hall 9
* More Jobs for civilians
* Glow Stone streetlights in cities

thanks for taking the time to read if just one of these features get implemented i would be very happy if all of the stage features i suggested got on i would never stop using this mod thanks for the great mod. Happy Coding

an idea for the mages tower (only if there are other towns/guilds)

you could talk to the mage at the top of his tower and a list of nearby friendly towns/guilds
and like the shops, you would click one and at the bottom of the list there's a teleport button
each teleport could cost like 500 gold, BUT you could only teleport to nearby towns not ones further away.
to get to them you'll have to get several teleports from different towns adding up to a larger sum of gold

CAN I MAKE AN INSTALLER FOR THIS MOD PLEASE!?

I think this mod is a bit op when your first starting out. You pretty much get an instant house as soon as you start, you can sleep right off whenever you want. also it's been only 5 minecraft days and I already have a diamond sword. I sold 10 gunpowder and got 1000 gold coins for it. idk but I don't really like this sence of getting this far so early. :/

You know what would be cool is if you eventually made it where your kingdom would include other cities and some rural villages and you supported the zeppelin mod and stuff. You could add a airship port for the large cities.

I personally think this mod is a great addition to minecraft and would recommend it to lots of peoples.

Had to stop back by the forums and just say that the Kingdom guards you buy are morons. The Guild guards at least warp to your position and get in the way, but the ones from the armory in your kingdom kinda wander off and also just tend to stand and laugh while you get pounded by mobs. Oh suuure they RUN to creepers though. The front of my Kingdom looks like a mortar shell practice range.... Minor issue though. Oh yes another thing that was bugging me. Lack of lighting in the Kingdom is making the streets really dangerous to walk down. Perhaps some more lighting please?

hey you should add a spot where you can build your own house cause i was living in the item shop and when i went to tier 2 it "fixed" it and i lost all of my items in my chests which was 2 stacks of diamond and more soo if theres a way to fix this i would greatly appretiate it. thankyou and great mod.

5 MC days to get a Diamond sword........ i ran around the guild hall and collect all the flowers and sold them to get my Diamond sword by night fall of day one .....
