The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
I'll be waiting for the release of FarmCraftory... This has been a prerequisite to my Minecraft world... I hope you retain how FishCraftory works... I love just how I catch fish like we do in real life...
A few reasons. Most important of those reasons was the way I felt about the leveling system. I had a chance to actually play vanilla Minecraft for about a month straight and looking back on my mods, the leveling system felt like an unnecessary complication more than a fun thing to use. Since the current coding revolved around gaining levels, the simplest thing was just to start over with a new version and leave the levels out, along with a lot of other unnecessary code. Basically, I'm taking what I like from my mods and putting them together into a more condensed version. Some of the old Craftory mods will make a return, but likely combined together in some form or another.
Another reason is SMP. It's been requested for a long time and it's now a possibly without the leveling system being a hindrance. I'm currently getting help running some tests so I can have a simultaneous release with the single player version.
Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem.

hey i got a problem, i installed the latest version of RuneCraftory (all the mods) and Forge. The two goed to the .jar, the resources to resources of .minecraft. Of course, i deleted META-INF. I don't have any other mods installed.
When the game crash (It crash after the Mojang screen) it appears the error report but it close after 2 seconds.
Or have another way to see the crash report? Or the installation changes?
Please help me and sorry becuz of the bad english
I understand why you've discontinued these mods and I'm very excited to see the new direction you're going to be taking them.
However, would it be possible for you to put the info describing your old mods on a webpage somewhere and then link it on this thread? I'm currently floundering about (pardon the pun) trying to figure out fishing without it.
Currently, FishCraftory, along with the other craftory mods, are not being worked on at the moment. Actually, those versions are no longer going to be updated. That means that yes, there are bugs and errors since they are not compatible with the latest Forge, ect. All I can say for now is to be patient. I'm slowly getting back into modding and plan to redo some of the mods from scratch. For example, a new FarmCraftory is close to being finished. So for now, there is no need to report errors. Sorry, its all I can say for now.
To everyone still posting regarding errors, Please READ the text quoted herein. If you want to use these mods effectively, I recommend using the forge version that DOES NOT include the mod loader, and install Risugami's Modloader and the other requirements along with custom mob spawnwer. The mods are being updated at the moment to a better version. I recommend you do like most of us are and patiently wait for the release of the new versions. Also remember that MC 1.3 is around the corner and current 1.2.5 mods might not work on 1.3.. I'm sure Comic is also getting his mods ready for that.
What do you get when you cross the recipe book, the kitchen counter/oven, and the harvest chest?
Something that looks like this:
What is it? This is the new cooking system or essentially, a simplified version of it. No more having to remember recipes or constantly look them up and no more having to wait to cook. How simple is it to use? Really simple. If you hover over the name of the recipe on the right, you'll get a list of ingredients on the left side. If you have the all of the ingredients in your inventory, the recipe name will turn white (yellow when hovering) and become clickable. If you only have some of the ingredients, the items you have will have their name in white while the missing items name will remain grayed out.
If you click the name of the recipe, the items in your inventory will be removed and you'll be given the output in return.
Since I didn't have anymore items in the above picture, the name grayed out and reset. You can use the arrows to sort through the recipes. Again, the names of what you can make will dynamically appear in white if you have the correct items in your inventory.
And that's it. Majority of the work is complete and I'm down to just finishing up adding the recipes. Then I move on to setting up various healing effects with the cooked food. After that, port to SMP, and run some more tests. If everything goes good, I think I might actually have a release ready.
Curious, does this mean we will not be buying/selling at all?
Otherwise, I like the streamlining and I LOVE your cooking mod, I was hoping you would keep it with the farming. Can't wait to see what you've done with the farming and seasons.
Buying and Selling has been removed since Minecraft is getting its own "currency" in 1.3. Once I can get a look through the vanilla coding, I'll make a decision on whether to bring it back or not. There is also SMP to think about too. I'm not sure how currency would be saved for each player, ect. Best just to leave it out for now.
