Modding in Minecraft is a small hobby of mine. I'm mostly working on surviving on homework, so my ability to create mods is limited. But I still have some mods here. Hopefully you'll find one of them useful. Maybe you'll find multiple useful?
My usual policy is that I do not take videos of my work. If you give me an image or video, I'll add it to the thread.

Here's a youtube video for installing mods.
A few months ago, when I started playing Minecraft, I had a dream. It was a block that when you place it next to two others in a horizontal line, it'd place another block above it. I have now realized that dream. With this mod, you create 'pyramid' blocks. When you place three of them next to each other in a line on the same plane, and there in no block currently above the middle block, it will place a new pyramid block above it.
The recipe for one pyramid block is as follows:
Starting in v1.1.0, you can craft "True Pyramid" blocks. They look exactly the same, but will only generate a new pyramid block if all adjacent sides are covered, like the middle brick in its crafting recipe:
Starting in v1.2.0, pyramids naturally form out in deserts. Only the base is actual pyramid blocks. The other blocks are generated. Each pyramid is 13x13 blocks at the base, and lakes like to mess them up.
I suggest the seed "Piggy" for the desert that spawns behind you, starting wolves, an interesting cavern system, and the village in the city. Oh, and you start at the edge of a pine forest, so you can get wood right away.
Notices and Warnings
By default, this mod uses Block ID 129. Can be changed via config file.
Be careful when placing these. It is possible to get one to spawn on your head, suffocating you.
When you destroy a generated pyramid block, you get no block back.
Currently these blocks only check during placement. I might make it check periodically to see if it's still allowed to be there.

Edits cj.class (BlockSand)
This mod makes sand behave similarly to farmland around water. Basically, sand can now become wet. And you can pickup wet sand, and place it, though it'll quickly dry out if you don't have any water near it.
Wet sand, unlike normal sand, does not fall. Furthermore, as per the name of the mod, you can smelt wet sand into clay, so if clay is an elusive resource for you, but you still need brick, you can get brick.
This is a requested mod. Basically, adds 15 new statistics showing how many times you've killed each mob. This is every mob except spider jockies (which will count as 1 spider and 1 skeleton).
I created this tool for debugging the Pyramids mod. When an item is smelted, crafted, or picked up, it displays the name of the item plus the damage of it.

I cant install cause it uses mod loader and my computer just doesnt work with it, but i would like to edit the texure but in the download there was like no GUI or anything, but i you want me to texture PM me
Hey my name is icycarter and your mod seems interesting i'll be doing a How to install and a mod spotlight
You might want to wait a few days for the other variations I have planned. I'll see if I can get a true pyramid creating block done in the next few minutes, for example.
I watched the mod spotlight, and from the looks of it, it is an amazing mod. I would download it if they were options for stone, wood, etc... pyramids as well.
Mods updated to 1.8.1. Initial Craftable Clay is out, mainly to make getting clay to make pyramids possible in SSP. The recipe is not final, and will be using water, sand, and a furnace in the final version.
Also, a new texture for Pyramid blocks created by Caruso09 is now being used, so you'll be able to spot them.
The show damage value at crafting isn't working right now. I'll figure out why soon enough.
Next up for me is getting the Egyptian pyramid version of the pyramid block working.
Pyramids 1.1.1 is out. Main new feature since last update post is the creation of "True Pyramid" blocks.
Craft Clay r2 is out. Sand can become wet and then placed in the furnace to turn into clay.
Mob Kill Statistics r2 is out. See how many times you've killed each mob (since you've installed this mod.)
It'd be nice to get some feedback on what is nice and what is not nice, so I know what I can expand on. And also so that I'm not the only poster here.
Also, sorry about sand not being wet during chunk creation. Just give it a minute and it should become wet. It follows the same physics as farmland.
My next project will either be to get stair blocks* working or to generate the pyramids you see in the Craft Clay picture naturally.
* You place one stair block at the base of the square you want the highest square to generate facing the direction you climb the stair, and then walk backwards, placing more stairs until you get to the height you want.
My usual policy is that I do not take videos of my work. If you give me an image or video, I'll add it to the thread.
