Updated the parachute mod to Forge Mod Loader build version 1744. The rider will now 'hang legs' while riding the parachute and 'pick up legs' just before landing. This new version requires Java 8 and Forge Mod Loader build version 1740 or higher. If you use Optifine you need to get the latest update compatible with forge 1744 or the rider rendering with legs 'hanging' won't work.

Would it be possible to remove the sail from the Megalania, and give it some other distinguishing characteristic? There is no evidence Megalania had such a structure. If you want a sailed "reptile", try something like Dimetrodon. The idea of it being sail-less turned out to be a misinterpretation of a paper.
Also, since it seems that the only extinct animal your mod has is something that went extinct recently, why not add some of the various odd-ball crocodiles from Oceania, such as Quinkana, Mekosuchus, and in general, a lot of Mekosuchines.
I've been thinking about removing the Megalania since, as you pointed out, the only extinct monitor in the bunch. It doesn't seem to fit. I could remove the fin though, and leave the monitor in. I'll think about adding other extinct crocs too.
Of course most reptiles aren't cube shaped either.
Also any version prior to 1.8.9 will not be updated. I'm scaling back on the reptile and zombie mods, concentrating on the parachute mod.
This might be a little too early depending on if you are using some kind of time frame, but, I did find another extinct monitor. It is not nearly as huge as megalania though.
Can you tell me what forge version you are on? Also what other mods are you running? I have not experienced this at all. When you hit the LSHIFT you should dismount just like the boat or horse. Same with auto-dismount. What are you doing that leaves you in the air? LSHIFT or something else?
The mechanics of the parachute are not really new. The original parachute was much like the previous 'hop-n-pop'. I never really used the ripcord and AAD personally; I used the parachute-ng mod, and It was a pain to maintain two different versions of the parachute mod.
The hanging in the air vibrating thing has happened to me before. I thought you meant you were just suspended, not sure what causes that. It's rare. The dismount code is pretty much the vanilla dismount. I will continue to look into it and hopefully find a fix/work-around. Sometimes teleporting up will help, sometimes nothing works, I have to exit and join again.
I'm using the most recent 1.7.10 version of the parachute mod. Some things I'd noticed or need help with:
AAD Active/Inactive. Nothing seems to change with the AAD when I change this from true to false.
On/Off with the AAD. It always seems to be on, regardless of how it is toggled.
When AAD activates below 3m, I seem to get stuck in the air above the ground with the parachute below me on the ground. This wouldn't be as big of an issue if I were able to disable the AAD. As a temp fix, I set the AAD threshold to 20m, so it doesn't repeatedly happen when jumping down less lethal cliffsides.
Changing lava thermal lift max doesn't seem to do anything. I dropped it to 20m, but it still takes me up to about 48m.
I'm no longer updating older mod versions. I'll take a look and see if the AAD activation not turning off is a bug, but I can't say when. When the AAD tries to activate there will be some time delay in the processing of that activation. It's java and minecraft has lots of things going on in the background. the default of 15 meters above ground may be the minimum that will work. In version 1.7.10 the config file should contain some text with the default values.
The 1.9-ng version is much nicer to use. You should consider updating. keep in mind the new version requires java 8.
I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
Using the newest available version and Forge2099|MC1.10.2 the mod works, but when flying my horizont flickers and i can't dismount and am clipping through the whole map.
Can anyone compile the newest source on github? Latest on Curse is from July but github source has some new commits. I have some issues compiling it.
EDIT:
Compiled it successfully now auto dismount and dismount per se works. But if you stay on the cute you will glitch through the map and die from suffocation. Seems to be a little glitchy too with realistic first person mod. Apart from that everything now works.
I'll just keep auto-dismount on so i will be fine till there be a new release .. hopefully

There is a new parachute mod version on Curse that works with Forge 2076 and higher.
new version available on curseforge. Version 415 fixes server side issues. auto dismount is now disabled on multiplayer, it doesn't work well. I'll try to figure out what I'm doing wrong and get it fixed.

Updated all mods to 1.9! Forge is still in beta.These mods require Java 8! Let me know of any issues.

I fixed the sitting bug in the reptile mod. The reptiles will now release from the sitting position. The new build is on curseforge.

updated mods to 1.9.4. fixed the reptiles not causing damage when attacking bug.

I'm playing with Biomes O'Plenty (1.10.2). and not seeing a single reptile. Not even in the desert, where I should be able to see some of them,
