Thought I'd push out a quick update before 1.2 comes out. I've added a config file, which you can find in the .minecraft/config folder. Open up mod_sophwolves and you'll see several options:
DogTagItemID = sets item id for the Dog Tag DogTreatItemID = sets item id for the Dog Treat RespawningWolves = true uses the non-permanent but respawning wolves currently in the mod, false uses the default MC permanent animals CustomWolfTextures = true uses the biome-specific wolves in the mod, false sets it to default (so it works with texture packs!) DefaultBreeding = not currently used, but will be included with 1.2 to allow you to choose between dog treat breeding and the full-health/meat breeding in the snapshots

I haven't looked at the new wolf AI yet, but MCP is out so I'll see. The current version isn't updated yet, but I doubt it will affect any new behaviors. The only thing that won't be included is the old pathfinding from this mod since it's obsolete now.
Hey Metroid, what's your plan for 1.2.3? I've decided I'm going to attempt to replicate the old wolf behavior, because the new AI tweaks have eviscerated the wolves' personality. They're just creepy now, IMHO.
