Does the gravitycraft mod work for 1.0.0 because im installing it correctly and i keep getting a black screen.
Nope, I haven't yet had the time to update, and since I'm programming on a new basis anyway, the next release will probably be the full release :smile.gif:

FIMALYY
for you if it will be compatible with all of my mods lol

Ouh, that's too bad.
Gravitycraft and Mineup need to edit pretty much every important class.
If you have got anything that exceeds the minecraft basics, it won't be compatible. Yeah I know, too sad :sad.gif:
Good thing is, we plan on extending our mods to provide a mod API themselves, since our mods won't be compatible with anything big anyways. :happy.gif:

Thats really sad to hear.
it means i dont need to wait for the mod to come out, but the api which will take even longer :sad.gif:

Haha, no :happy.gif:
The biggest part of the API will be done by MineT. It was his idea, and I will certainly help, but I've got close to no experience doing API's, while he does.
Also, live status update: I've now finished the base base engine in the new engine. Everything normal like placing or destroying blocks, walking and similar now fully works. That means, now I will work on mob interactions, TileEntities, block and world rotations, particles and stuff. That should be much quicker since I've done the main part now.
Such a relief it finally works again :happy.gif:

I also wanted to ask about the options in the mod since im 100% sure im going to play it
I saw in one of the videos that drops also can fall to the sides for example
can you do it with other things? like fire burning side ways, water falling to the sides, sand falling up, trees growing to the sides, arrows fall up after passing trough a gravity changer thing.
Also i saw the planet thingy in your vid
and will it change? the way your sight is instantly changed in a confusing way. I know the world is blocky and not round but maybe it is possible to do it?
Sorry for writing so much im just really curious :tongue.gif:

Fire, water and trees are blocks. With the new engine, it is possible to rotate blocks, although the player can't really do it himself. They will be autorotated according to the world they are in, and according to nearby gravity wells (so planets can actually have grass on every side ^^).
Falling sand and arrows are both usual entities, so you can rotate them as well. For example, you can make arrows fly in a straight line by shooting them though a gravity director, or you can make item transportation systems by building pipes with directors in them :smile.gif:.

In the release version, you won't notice that anymore. The camera will rotate exactly the way you would expect it too, and smoothly, too :biggrin.gif:. The base part of that is already done, and it won't need that much more work.
Sorry for writing so much im just really curious :tongue.gif:
It's perfectly OK! As long as there aren't 1000 people asking question that I have already answered, I love responding ^^
(Also, that keeps bumping my thread up lol :tongue.gif:)

Man thats going to be so cool
I cant even imagine what crazy things im going to do with it :DDDD
I also have some other questions since its not a problem
when you put a mob spawner on a floor so it will be able to spawn the mobs.
If you put it in a place without close floor it wouldnt spawn any mobs.
So basicly can you rotate it so it can , for example spawn mobs on the ceiling? and the mobs will also be drawned upward aswell? I guess the planet things can change the mobs gravity but will it affect the spawner aswell?
And how exactly do you choose the size of the plannet?
can you make a small room with reversed gravity for example? Which means a very small "planet"
Also what will happen in snowy biomes? if there is a reversed area
and the snow will land on the button of the block which will face upward.
the snow will cover the button of the block? or it wont cover it at all?.

If the mob spawner is placed on one side of a planet, the mobs will take it's gravity direction. Maybe I will also add the possibility to freely rotate the spawners so you can let it spawn wall creepers and similar, but probably not on first release.
And how exactly do you choose the size of the plannet?

Planets automatically apply all 6 sides if the block, so you can't make a gravity well that only affects one room to have upwards gravity. You can however modify the size of the gravity well with a custom GUI (It's added already). For example, you could make it 16 blocks big, so if you place the room under the well, and block off the other sides of the gravity well with 16 blocks in every direction, so you don't accidentally get sucked towards the well, it's like it only affects the room.
Perhaps I will also add a gravity director well, which will naturally do what you are asking for. But also, not before I get 1.0 out.

I haven't yet looked into how snow works. I think the snowflakes are no particles, and thus aren't affected by gravity (yet). I do know that the snowflakes don't affect the snow blocks. Snow will lie on the side of the block which is facing upwards, for example, it will be able to cover every side of a cube planet, since snow is just a regular block, too.
Wow. Sounds like you've really thought about everything. I've been watching this topic for a while and I'm definitely going to download this mod! The possibilities of things to do with it are endless. Can't wait for the release!
Oh, and are you planning on adding SMP compatibility?
With todays standards, it looks like I won't get around that ^^
I have to say I have no idea what that is like, but as far as I've seen the code in SMP doesn't look that different, so it shouldn't be too complicated. ^^
You have to make them work somehow, don't you? :happy.gif:
This is the usual way of installing mods:
There are thousands of tutorials, videos, instructions etc. you can find, and my mods don't require any 'additional effort' :smile.gif:
So, can we have an approximate release date?
I will get it done this year, sometime.
I know. I'm evil. :biggrin.gif:
Well you wrote this comment yesterday (31) now its the the start of the new year so you didnt finish it last year as you said. :[
Here, it was 0:30 :smile.gif:
But, I have good News still: Work has finally resumed! Let's see how far I get in a few coding sessions... :biggrin.gif:
