I don't know if this is a feature of Forge, but in my own test mod I was able to put them in the creative inventory by using this in the block file:
public void addCreativeItems(ArrayList itemList)
{
itemList.add(new ItemStack(this));
}
It may be a feature of ModLoader or Forge, or just plain Minecraft. Just try it out
So add it in BlockGravityDirector.java (and of course all the other blocks)!
It puts the item in the creative inventory without editing any base classes (and thus not removing compability).
That must be a feature of Forge. ModLoader avoids modifying classes as much as possible, and I don't see a hook there, either. I won't put them in anyway, but wait for the new MC version for that. (New creative inventory, remember?)
Should be much easier then
Hah, funny. Seems like I accidentally deleted the one before the gravity staff in the newest version x)
You guys just have to edit that once, it should work then. It won't be in the next version
Let me come in here. According to my version of NEI (Not Enough Items) gravity staff has ID 327, and is placed next to the water bucket. So it has to have the same ID as the lava bucket.
When I go in a different client, and look into NEI again, it says the lava bucket has ID 327.
So yes the lava bucket has ID 327 just like the lava bucket has by default. You should probably change that in the next release
Yes, I accidentally a 1 in front of 71 before releasing. It will be gone in the next version, but it won't change the existing propierties files. That's why you have to edit them yourself
Bug: while floating upwards putting on a gravity helmet causes a crash.
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Comparison method violates its general contract!

I already noted that bug. It occurs when you fall out of the world, the helmet doesn't matter in this case
Just try and you will see
Your Minecraft will shutdown before you have any chance to play.
I think there are ways to fool the mod to thinking im the one on the list
but I guess I wouldnt enjoy it as much with all of those bugs so I will just wait for the official release
I also hope It will be compatible with the other big modes out there by then (or even now)

If you feel like messing with stuff in the class files then yes but if not then no.

Edit: Found an inverted world when I was digging I died.
It isn't for me.
You can edit the item IDs in 'GravityCraft.properties' inside your minecraft folder. Just set it to any ID you know is free

Uh, what? All items get shifted by 256 in the IDs. When your item ID was set to 71, it should result in becoming 327
Nope, lava buckets are 327. TooManyItems told me
Then it's wrong.
"new ItemBucket(71, Block.lavaMoving.blockID)"
That's what the code says, and the code always is right. 71 + 256 = 327
what is preventing me from just downloading it , installing it and playing it? I dont really get the "You can't play if you're not on the list."

I haven't fixed anything in my other mods yet. They will get their changes with the update to MC 1.3
ok
