For the gravity mod you should make the "gravity well" powered by redstone so you can toggle it on and off from a distance. This way it could be used as a gravity powered elevator, transportation system in the place of mine tracks (because as we all know mine tracks and powered mine tracks can deplete your wood, iron, and gold pretty quickly), and/or anything else you can dream up that you can use the power of gravity for.(cue super-evil super-villain laugh)
That's a very nice idea, I should probably do that ^^
I will probably add Gravity area Directors, and these will also be powered on or off instead of changing the direction with redstone input. Since it affects areas, you can use two different directors to 'change' the direction without a problem. ^^
I suppose your minecraft version isn't 1.8.1, you will need to get that old version out of some archives if you want GravityCraft installed.

You did not say that ^^
I am not sure in what MCNostalgia patches your minecraft.jar, so I can't tell you if it is compatible with mods.
If it really is compatible with any mod made for that version, you are just doing something wrong when installing - which can only be screwing up the GravityCraft properties file, forgetting to remove META-INF, or not copying all the files. Also, of course, it may as well be just a compability problem with other mods, in case you have installed other ones, too.

just to rubb it in are you gonna miss another update before making it to 1.0.0
your proobably gonna be so late with the gravity craft mods that you wil end up 10 updates behind.
That will depend on what MineT is going to do.
If he is creating his own API, it's gonna be incompatible with forge.
Otherwise, it will work for both ModLoader and Forge.

I don't care, as I still stay on Minecraft 1.8.1. You don't seem to get that I'm programming the engine instead of updating to the newest version :smile.gif:
Once it's somewhere finished, I will eventually update it. Right now, I hope for many more Minecraft versions to come ^^ (Although I still have to update my other mods :/)
I don't know, I haven't tested that yet. I don't know what classes Forge does modify, so I can't estimate any compability.
You might as well just try, though :smile.gif:
In the meantime, 6 months have passed, I got 5 Mods up, which add up to 20 Versions. I counted ~15 Videos about my mods [apart from those I made myself]. My own youtube channel got about 36.000 views in that time, while 26 people gave reputation to this thread.
Also, I collected 10016 Diamonds and 12 Notches from you guys xD
I would count Zekkyou's Babies too, if I could :happy.gif:
Thanks to everyone who supported me so far, by downloading my mods, commenting here, giving thumbs up and comments on youtube, or spreading the mods otherwise. :biggrin.gif:
Hei,
I've made a german Mod Review of PandorasBox.
If you want to you can put it on your Topic.
greets MessiasLP
Great, thanks!
Can anyone update the god damn GravityCraft Mod. GravityCraft is my favourite mod PLZ UPDATE :sad.gif:
No, there's no 'just update'. Completely new base engine to be made here.
I've come closer to completing it over the time, but it's not like I can focus on making it, since I have other things to do as well. :smile.gif:

I will wait, i dont remember the 181 version being forge compatible and the upcoming official version looks like it will be.
You know... Gravitycraft would seem like it would be a massive amount of fun along if one adds the smart moving mod, and it all works properly, could be used to make some awesome adventure, platforming maps.

I agree it would be kinda fun. I doubt they will work together naturally, but they may be...
If they don't, however, I can't really make them work together manually. MineT and me have planned a collaboration between our mods and one or two others, and I think it will be enough work to make these work together properly :smile.gif:
Ah...
Could you give us an idea of how far you are to completing either pre-release of GravityCraft for 1.1 or the complete version of GravityCraft for 1.1?
I'm eagerly awaiting the mod. If I were a dog, I'd be drooling all over my chin, as if looking at a delightful roast pig.

No, I can't, really.
I can say "You can't stand, walls are bouncy and your hitbox doesn't rotate properly, but otherwise the physics are done", but that probably doesn't give you much insight on how much is left to do :smile.gif:
Ah. Ok, well... thanks for giving us some insight on how it is doing even if you didn't mean to. Unless, you are talking hypothetically of course. In fact... from the videos I've seen on GravityCraft, the above statements are false for the prerelease. You could mean that the current testing version...
Nevermind, anyways... um... I forgot.

Everything is based on a new engine. Which means, complete restructuring and new logic. Which is almost the same as starting new :wink.gif:
You didn't listen, did you? I haven't even started updating yet. Doing engine work and stuff. ^^
Just let Jeb and Jonkagstrom create as many versions as they want, I'm cool. x)

Thank you for your approval of the idea. Most devs won't give you the time of day so thank you for your reply. You should also include a shock block (block that negates fall damage no matter if you are falling down, up, to the side or what ever direction you might be going). This could def be needed if you are using the gravity to get up to places or get down from places because water crash pits won't work well when the gravity changes. So basically a craftable block that acts like the clouds in the aether mod. This way you don't get hurt when using your awesome gravity manipulating powers to move places. Unless there is already an existing block that does this that I an not aware of. If so please let me know. If you would like to contact me through e-mail to talk about any other ideas or concepts you have and would like to talk to me about it or brainstorm for new ideas that could potentily improve the gravity mod please let me know. I would be glad to help with that aspect of the mod. I don't know how to code or anything like that but I usually have very good judgment on what something could need or use to better it in some way. Maybe we could set up a skipe call sometime and talk about it. Thank you.
