Haha, no :happy.gif:
The biggest part of the API will be done by MineT. It was his idea, and I will certainly help, but I've got close to no experience doing API's, while he does.
Also, live status update: I've now finished the base base engine in the new engine. Everything normal like placing or destroying blocks, walking and similar now fully works. That means, now I will work on mob interactions, TileEntities, block and world rotations, particles and stuff. That should be much quicker since I've done the main part now.
Such a relief it finally works again :happy.gif:
Any chance in talking to the MCF team and talking to them about merging whatever API you would make int Minecraft Forge?

Not quite sure how it will work out. I think if MineT really wants to create our own API, we're probably gonna be compatible. If not, we will be implementing adapters, meaning it will work with both ModLoader and MCForge.
I hope you can still update it for 1.0.0 and not 1.1 since Im not going to update untill most of the mods im using will be updated too and Im sure its also true for alot of other people here

Gravitycraft is a huge project. It's going to take quite some time, especially since I only have the weekends to work on it right now...
I'm probably going to update the other mods pretty fast, since they are easy. I can't say though when I will finish GravityCraft. As I said, I will not update the pre-release.
Ah, good luck. If you can do GravityCraft with the new engine (take MineUp as a base) within 1 month, I'm gonna go to your house and hand you a cookie ^^
so im gonna try making a mod for 1.0(although 1.1 is out)...and it involves planets...u know when i can get my hands on the gravity well for 1.0(or code for it)

Might as well do it for 1.1. MCP and ModLoader have already been released for it, in record time. So the other Mods will follow.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack

Ah, awesome.
I guess today I will update everything (except GravityCraft, of course), and after that continue working on GravityCraft.
Damn Physics... ^^
yes those might be updated but the coding i need i could not possible do as i still can barely code in java.....
Guess what's taking me so long all the time?
I don't code all the time, but I code sometimes, like on weekends. If it where easy, I would have finished it 10 times until now. Unfortunately, it isn't :/
I finished half of the updating work, so I will finish that tomorrow. Then, GravityCraft.
(Also, remember the code I wrote the GravityCraft pre-release in is not up to date. The new engine does not only require updating, but rather rethinking of the whole structure, because everything is different. I mean, really everything. Which is why I haven't just updated the pre-release.)
THIS SUCKS... I WANT GRAVITY CRAFT I WANT TO THINK\; THIS IS A SMALL STEP FOR A MAN BUT A HUGE ONE FOR MANKIND... GIVE ME ZERO GRAVITY, GIVE ME GRAFITYCRAFT! CANT YOU JUST UPDATE GRAVITY TO 1.1 AND THEN UPDATE IT TO ANOTHERE VERSION LATER
I needed a small break from GravityCraft anyway, and it was only 2 days I was working on the other mods ^^
GravityCraft WILL come, and I can say I'm as excited about it as you are :smile.gif:
The reason why I can't "just update it", is because most of the logic I had was good for nothing in the new engine. Therefore, it's like I'm starting new, but with more experience.
The base engine is almost done, and I will definitely update you as soon as all the basic stuff is done again :smile.gif:
You are right, it's only one, but huge step. One, because once the engine is done, almost all of the mod is done, but huge because it's very difficult to...
Ah man, bad joke x)
Is it possible to make some sort of compatibility patch for AlcoholCraft that allows me to use Optifine with it? When I installed AlcoholCraft, minecraft didn't crash, but it turned off the fog for optifine. btw, they both modify the kz.class file. Please fix! :biggrin.gif:

Well, it would be possible, but getting a Optifine fix out for Alcoholcraft every update would be too much work right now.
I will probably do it if AlcoholCraft gets bigger, and more people start to request it :smile.gif:
Hey many weekends do you think till gravitycraft done. *No rush*
Cause I am gonna keep my 1.8.1 till you update it. As it says no rush.
I know how a modders life feels. And I see the long codes you do. I like gravitycraft mod.

Thanks, sympathy or simple understanding doesn't usually seem to be a forum user's strength ^^
It's hard to give a estimation on when I can get it right now. ONCE the base engine is done, most of the other parts will just be follow ups which can be rushed out, and if I don't feel like searching for the remaining mistakes myself, I will just put out another pre-release. ONCE the base engine is done, everything else is likely to be completed in max. 3 weeks.
The base engine can be completed every weekend now, but there always were unpredictable spots in the code I still had to fix. If we are lucky, it's 2 weeks until the hardest part is done, if we're unlucky, I will keep running into more code to fix :/
I hope this gives a good impression of my situation atm :smile.gif:

I made some changes, too, while I was at it.
Next thing, again, is GravityCraft.
