Seems like either not my mod making trouble (I don't even know which one you mean), or you are using the wrong version of minecraft (Pre-Release instead of 1.8.1).
I can't help you if you don't provide information :wink.gif:
well, im using minecraft 1.8.1 and modloader+modloadermp+forge 1.1.2+tmi

Thanks for your quick response, answers, and your good will! You too MineT! :smile.gif:
From what you say I now understand even more how great a match you two are making for this Gravity Project. I had almost completely given up on the idea of blocks being rotatable so that you actually could have a "normal" world upside down or sideways, which is why I then mostly focused on the idea of up & down gravity and only in bands so that it would be easy to alter the gravity between certain y levels. It's fantastic to hear that all this is actually possible! And you have no idea how happy Dr Mackeroth will be to hear that specific bit.
Though I have to wonder if having a "lite" version of the Gravity API that only affected gravity up/down and maybe only in bands would make the affects compatible with more mods and such due to changing fewer classes?
I don't know how exactly the code looks like / will look like, but I'm almost certain both lite and full would alter the same amount of classes, and even though they would mod it more or less heavily, it would not help compability :wink.gif:
It might be worth investigating the idea of having a Basic Gravity API as well as more complete/complex ones, each one keeping an eye on how many more classes need to be changed to implement it and how much more compatibility needs to be lost to use it. Then people could choose the features that they need and not sacrifice compatibility to include things they don't. - I only mention this because compatibility between mods is becoming more and more THE issue as time goes on and we see that we can't count on Mojang for some of these features we want. :wink.gif:
You are right, compability is a huge topic. But unfortunately, there is no real other way than this, so compability will be low. In exchange, we want to make everything simple to use, so other modders can grab this engine as a base for their own mod. :biggrin.gif:
Regarding Orbits: I don't actually want the moons and such to move as the name orbit would suggest. I explain in that old post why sky islands and moonlets would be stationary within the 32km distance due to Minecraftian Planar-Gravatic Harmonics. :wink.gif: So that should make that aspect much easier. :smile.gif: Though having another mod that could make specific islands move in some way could be fun on it's own.
Maybe I will make such a moving entity that acts as a kind of moon for myself at some point, just for funsies ^^
I am so looking forward to what will come from all this.
Me too! If I'm totally honest, I can't yet say what to expect, but I'm definitely optimistic :smile.gif:

Alright man, I appreciate your response, and I'll trust that as the code/engine evolves you guys will at least be aware of the issue and keep an eye on any obvious ways to make a lite version possible. For instance; as awesome as rotating blocks is and even necessary for many scenarios, it wouldn't be needed for all gravity scenarios and I would suspect it affects more classes than just basic gravity manipulation does. :wink.gif:

"That's no Moon!" :biggrin.gif: I suspect Zeppelin Mod would come in handy for something like that. I even have a faint recollection of a server mod that can teleport sections of a world between various planned points at whatever timed intervals you set. Muhahahaha.
Also; Please keep in mind Zeppelin Mod compatibility. FutureCraft will depend heavily on Zeppelin Mod (which is already MineUp! & Cubic Chunks compatible) for its spaceships and such. blakmajik, author of Zeppelin Mod, and DiEvAl are great guys that have always been great about helping with compatibility and such. :smile.gif:
Also; it looks like they will be trying to use a developing mod "Copernicus" framework made by fr0stbyte124, instead of Zeppelin. I don't have many details regarding it though. There is a video demo in the OP of FutureCrafts new thread though.
so how do i attach ladders and stuff, based on what direction im on?
In the current version, rotating blocks is not possible. That means, doors, torches, ladders etc. only work for the usual gravity direction, and the one upside down. MineT and I however have planned the ability of rotating blocks, too.
Hey, you may have noticed that I am the original creator of Futurecraft. I think your work here is amazing, especially your work with gravity. I understand that it is still in development, but I request permission to use your gravity mod for the development of cubic worlds in Minecraft. This will be used in Futurecraft in the development of cubic planets, as stated.

Hi, I'm very glad you like it! :biggrin.gif:
I'm gonna send you a private message, so we are able to further talk about this matter :wink.gif:
you know the pandoras box mod? how it makes fire and lava fall from the sky? ye how about a ocean falls from the sky at the 4th day and snow forms on the 2nd and water balls fall on the 3rd *Sry not in order) then it is like a atlantis mod?
that would be a awesome mod :biggrin.gif:

Right here. On my computer. :tongue.gif:
As I said, I will probably releasing one last pre-release with the old engine (including the well).
Also, I pretty much doubt ModLoader, ModLoader MP AND Minecraft Forge are compatible :wink.gif:

That's a really nice Spotlight, thank you!
