I really dig this mod. Great job! I did notice a lot of seeds laying around, maybe during map generation the grass takes a hit? EDIT: I see that you covered this on the OP.
You gone done it. You gone F*CKING done it. You created the mod that well get stupid Twilight fans playing MineCraft. When you add mobs, I will run around killing everything.

Because the word "twilight" is not in reference to the fact that the world is in eternal twilight, but is instead referring to sparkly vampires.
Deer, boar, and rams are all mobs that have been added.
Will there ever be SAPI compatibility? I would love to use this mod, except for the fact that I am running the aether. I don't want to have to choose between them since both of them seem/are amazing.
the aether works fine with this mod... (v 1.01 of the aether at least)
few things
first i love the mod. ive actually been working on a mod that is almost identicle.[i scrapped it wen i found this though]
second even though i love this mod im not goingto sacrifice the aethe for it. so i really think that that should be your numba one priority.

"Who will take up the mantle?" I cried, "Who will show us into new and wonderful worlds?"
But there was no answer. for it seams that, for now, nothing stirs amongst the ashes.

also just to clear it all up; twilight is a time of day, that is what it references.

I can look into the performance a little, but before I start tearing my hair out trying to find the reason, could you check like two other things?
First, make sure it didn't reset any video settings. I know it's done that to me before.
Second, I usually play with like 24 browser windows open, so I know that every so often one will go berserk and start using like 10%-50% of the cpu, causing a FPS loss. In fact this site will do that to me sometimes. So I'd check that, maybe shut your browser down entirely before playing.
My video settings were just fine, and I make sure that I close browser windows all the time - leaving Firefox open cuts into Minecraft's FPS by around 20%, let alone when it goes berserk. I did throw it on top of the other mods I had though. The APIs I was using were ModLoader, ModLoader MP, Minecraft Forge, GuiAPI, and ScotTools. I'd suspect Minecraft Forge out of any on that list. Other possible suspects are Buildcraft, RedPower, Equivalent Exchange, Walled City, and Mo' Creatures. I can't see any of the other mods interfering with yours at all.
Without the mods it seems to work fine in the overworld, and laggy as it generates chunks in the Twilight Forest like other people have said. I should have been more specific the first time. :x
I'm going to agree with a few other people that have posted here. It might be just easier to make a completely different portal. Then perhaps, you won't have to overwrite any of the original minecraft files?

I have like 30 mods installed and somewhere along the line i wasnt able to build portals anymore so thats why only half the portal is filled. I had to place the blocks. I was able to build portals when i installed this mod, but im too lazy to uninstall the 10 things ive installed since then
i wish i could try it, but im currently using shockah API for a few other mods (not aether :tongue.gif:). Hopefully you can fix the incompatibility soon because this mod is WAY better than some of those other dimensions out there. Looking forward to seeing the new blocks, mobs, etc. and hopefully that fix for shockah API :wink.gif:

The only problem with that is the time of day is always Twilight in this realm.
It's fun to play oround and make holes in the trees.
