Any reason there are a TON of Slimes spawning everywhere?
It is very annoying.
Also what's with these weird effects around castles now?
The slimes are because you added a mob spawning mob and goofed up configuring it.
The weird effects are progression. You're supposed to hit the castles in a specific order. The ones too far ahead will have poison rain in the whole biome, and the the castles and castle mobs will be invincible. You can disable it with /tfprogress <player> final.

You want a farm, you grab a hoe. You want a boat, you grab some wood. You want a fireplace, you grab A FLAMING HELL-BOULDER BECAUSE THAT'S HOW MINECRAFTERS ROLL!!!

Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?

Does anyone know what to do to keep TiC from spawning blue slimes in the forest?
There is an option in the Tinkers Construct config to disable natural blue slime spawning. This will make it so that they will ONLY spawn on slime islands.

I only have Twilight Forest mobs spawning in the Twilight Forest dimension using the Just Another Spawner (JAS) mod. In the JAS config BiomeBlacklist.cfg, I have all Twilight Forest biomes set to 'true' so they are blacklisted by JAS.
The JAS ReadMe file says: "You may wish to have JAS ignore certain biomes entirely and have mobs in those biomes spawn as if JAS was not installed. Example uses would be Twilight Forest. To have JAS ignore Twilight Forest biomes, find the Twilight Forest biomes in the list and change "false" to "true"."
I've done videos before and always give credit where credit is due. =^^= I am doing my best to get everything prepared for my first Minecraft vid (which will be a review for this mod).
Good day! Please tell me is it possible to give the achievement a Twilight portal and Twilight arrival by using the commands on my server it is forbidden to create a portal...
I would be glad if you can help me. Sorry for my English I use a translator.
Ben: Can we please get a config option to disable the biome progression (preferred), or an option to make it a server-wide gamerule (second best)?
Please keep in mind: Some people will be playing with cheats turned off in single player, and so be unable to enter any command that needs op permissions.
Some people will be playing in peaceful mode.
Some servers will be in peaceful mode.
Even if you can make a setup that uses a command block to disable the progression system for a player, that won't work if you want to just provide a modpack with a set of configs; it will force a specific map and make it impossible for someone to regenerate the world with a different seed.
Thank you.
I'd also like the config option, since I fit several of those - I play single-player peaceful with cheats disabled. The Beyond Reality modpack includes an entry "B:EnforcedProgression=true" in TwilightForest.cfg, but I'm not sure it's really a legitimate option - a fresh install of TF doesn't include such an option in the config, and I even tried searching decompiled code, and only found references to the gamerule "tfEnforcedProgression".
Edit: I tried setting "EnforcedProgression" to false in my Beyond Reality instance, just in case the modpack added something to make that work, but I still get the weather effects and status effects in Dark Forest and Snowy Forest. I also still get weather effects and damage (without status effect as far as I can tell) in Highlands, but I'm not sure where (or if) that biome fits into the progression - the wiki page linked in the OP gets me a "509 Bandwidth Limit Exceeded" message at the moment, and http://ftb.gamepedia.com/Twilight_Forest_Progression doesn't mention it.
Nagastone textures are messed up in the latest release (2.3.7). They only have the right rotations on one side, and don't connect properly to each other.

Does anyone know how to turn off the [Server thread/INFO] [STDOUT] [twilightforest TFEventListener:WillEntityDie:xxx]? It spams my server every time anyone fights a mob, vanilla or otherwise. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
As one of the first effects, all it was meant to do was restrict access. The Lich's tower is protected by a 'barrier' to deny access (Lich doesn't like biome-to-biome salesmen). The other ones are all tied into the respective biomes, such as the dark forest having a blindness effect, or the acid rain for the highlands you mentioned. Each effect makes it nearly impossible to stay in the respective area for long, or denies access entirely until you've met the requirements.
How do you get the biomes and structures to spawn in the overworld? I know this question has probably been asked before but I haven't been able to find a forum that describes how to do this. This is mostly just a problem that people have with Biomes O' Plenty.
I've tried doing this by changing the ID's of the biomes and using the ClimateControl mod to trick the game buuuuuut!-
-The size of the biomes are disproportionate with some not even spawning in.
-The height of one mountainous biome has been multiplied to an extreme extent making it unplayable.
-And none of the dungeons are there!
Please let me know if there is a quick link for my first world problem, if there's a quick fix with configs, or other mod support etc. Or if change of the mod itself is required. My personal preference for playing the game is I like this mod but don't want to go to a separate dimension to enjoy it, I want it interspersed in vanilla like a strange Adventure Time dungeon.

I would like to request permission to do a review of this mod since I love dimension mods. I have played it before and enjoyed it thoroughly. =^.^=

Benimatic is still working on 1.7.10, as far as I know. So, for now, neither.
