I'm in a new DIM, let's call it DIMX, not my overworld.
I created a portal into Twilight Forest from DIMX it works fine but when I jump back from Twilight forest to go back to my DIMX, it always takes me to the overworld DIM0.
If I brake the portal in DIM0, go back to Twilight from DIMX, then try to return from Twilight Forest, it will once again create the same portal back into DIM0.
Is there a way to change that and have it go back to DIMX?
So that I'm always going from DIM X to TW to DIMX.
Thanks
So a quick rundown on the minecraft portal system. Travel from dimension A to dimension B is activated by some block. This block will know where to send you, and if you are allowed to go, but there is nothing stored on the player data to say where you came from or where to go next.
Vanilla nether portals can activate in any dimension 0 or less.
From negative 1, you go to the overworld. From 0 (overworld), you go to the nether. I don't remember if the test is "If 0, then nether, else overworld", or "If -1, then overworld, else nether". But a positive number won't work -- so you can't use a nether portal to leave The End (or a mystcraft age, or most mod dimensions).
Twilight forest portals behave the same. If you are in the forest, you go to the overworld; if you are not in the forest, then *check config file, see if the portals are restricted to overworld only, do nothing if set and not in the overworld* go to the forest.
So in your case, in DIMX, you can go to the forest. But nothing is stored to say where you came from. The portals in the forest are hard-coded to send you to the overworld.
What are your options? Install a different cross-dimensional teleport mod, and use that instead.

Mob spawning rules have a weird interaction with others mods that add new creatures, like mo' creatures. Twilight forest prevents wyverns from spawning in the wyvern lair dimension when chisel 2 is in the pack, remove twilight and all mob spawning returns to normal, going to twilight with chisel 2 and gravestone mod results in over population of zombie dogs, going to twilight with chisel 2 and tinkers construct results in over population of blue slimes, This used to happen with witchery and so with all situations twilight is always involved in sloppy mob spawning, maybe you could please look into this?
Image shows how many zombie dogs spawn with twilight, gravestone mod and chisel 2 installed.
I'm currently playing the Hubris modpack which includes TF, Chisel 2 and GraveStone and am also having the problem of way too many zombie dogs constantly spawning. I tried changing the setting of "SpawnZombieDogs" to false in the Gravestone config, but they're still spawning all over the TF dimension. Did we ever find a solution for this?
EDIT: BiomeTweaker, another mod included in Hubris, outputs that the spawning happens in Twilight Forest's Forest and Highlands biomes. I was able to use BiomeTweaker scripts to disable the zombiedogs by removing all spawns of type monster. Oddly zombie dogs were the only monster biometweaker was outputting as spawnable. biometweakers command to specifically remove only zombie dogs didn't work.
You guys did amazing, I mean absolutely amazingly well with the Labyrinth. It was the most fun I've ever had in minecraft and immersive to explore that dungeon. Thanks for the experience.
Yeah, that's a really great bug report there. What exactly needs fixing? Just saying that it's broken isn't going to do anything unless you provide details.

Having an issues with Twilight Forest Mod lagging the server when people enter the portal.
Getting messages like this:
Server thread/WARN Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? Running 2039ms behind, skipping 40 tick(s)
After leaving the dimension the messages cease. Also it was raining all the time in the dimension, all over. Including through blocks when trying to explore a small mound.
The raining is a feature of The Twilight Forest now. You should explore it in a certain order and if you enter an area you should not yet be in, it rains acid. The rest is caused by a slow CPU and/or the combination of your other mods.
Doesn't make sense that it would rain through the blocks. As in, I was underground and it was raining underground.
Also it does not have issues in the overworld or the nether, so why the TF dimension?

The rain means you're not supposed to be there yet. As in go somewhere else. This mod has a progression system so that it feels more RPG-like, and the rain is just the least of your worries if you explore willy-nilly.

Let me just say this right now.
You guys did amazing, I mean absolutely amazingly well with the Labyrinth. It was the most fun I've ever had in minecraft and immersive to explore that dungeon. Thanks for the experience.
I like castles and the Twilight Forest.
I know the date, I just wanted to tell them off, it annoyed me that no one really told them off and instead just made sarcastic comments
Yes, I felt like it, I wanted to tell them when they posted it, but I only found out how to make an account this year
Why the heck would you respond to a superold comment? It makes no sense, it obstructs the thread and it makes you look dumb.
Possibly you're too young to navigate the internet alone.
My reason is in the previous 4 comments
thanks for the info and welcoming me
Ignore this post i am sorry i cant delete it
Can someone please fix this amazing mod?
Until someone ports this legendary mod I am leaving the minecraft scene. http://www.cosc.canterbury.ac.nz/greg.ewing/minecraft/mods/ArchitectureCraft/#mozTocId598776 I have watched too many legendary mods die and carpenters blocks sudden fallout out of mainstream made me cry. I realize the source is messy but some of the best mods from 1.6.4 and 1.7.10 were.
Yeah, that's a really great bug report there. What exactly needs fixing? Just saying that it's broken isn't going to do anything unless you provide details.
Crashing on player initial entry and exit of realm. I am happy to give a detailed report if someone will take up the mantel and have a github where I can report issues.

Benimatic is still working on this mod. Right now, I believe he's finishing up the castle on the plateau.

You could just paste the crashlog(s) (in spoiler tags) and info here.
Any ideas?
Doesn't make sense that it would rain through the blocks. As in, I was underground and it was raining underground.
Also it does not have issues in the overworld or the nether, so why the TF dimension?
The rain means you're not supposed to be there yet. As in go somewhere else. This mod has a progression system so that it feels more RPG-like, and the rain is just the least of your worries if you explore willy-nilly.
