What is MinePrint?
MinePrint is a mod that allows you to load .schematic files and "print" them out in the game. How it does this is it has your character build in a 4x4x4 radius around him, so it works 100% in SMP (and you don't need to be an admin or have anything installed on the server at all).
Update 1.2:
-Signs no longer crash
-Works with 1.8.1
Update 1.1:
-Print screen will no longer show if there is another GUI open (chat, inventory, etc.)
-There is now an option to not need any resources, if in single player.
-When you begin printing, it will tell you how much of each resource you will need.
(Note: the lag in this video is due to Fraps, NOT the mod.)
How does it handle larger objects?
MinePrint keeps track of where the print's origin is, so as you move around it will build the appropriate blocks. This means that you can build infinitely large prints and everything remains intact.
Features:
-Fully ModLoader compatible.
-Works in SMP and SP, on SMP it is fully client-sided and works without the server even knowing it exists.
-Print infinitely large objects
-Pause printing at any time
-Clean GUI
-By default, ensures that Anticheat does not detect this mod, although there are options to disable that for more optimum building.
-Works with different colored wool etc.
-"Solve unplaceable blocks": this setting will attempt to create "bridges" to blocks if there are no adjacent blocks. This is off by default due to its buggy nature.
How to:
First, ensure that you have ModLoader installed. Then install the mod and launch the game. Ingame, press "P" to bring up the print menu. Type in a name of a .schematic file that is in your prints folder. The prints folder is located in "appdata\.minecraft\prints" and if it doesn't exist it will be created when you run Minecraft. After typing in your schematic's file name, press enter or click "Print" and the mod will automatically begin printing. To stop or pause the printing, press "P" again and choose the appropriate option.
Known bugs:
-Torch and lever positioning doesn't work properly.
-Blocks with metadata may be buggy.
This is to good to be true and he only has 2 posts post a video or untill i get a confermation that its safe from a user i trust i will not be useing it
There is a video, look harder.
Also, it is not possible to increase the build radius because then it wouldn't work in multiplayer.
I was just thinking that. Sense .schematic files can contain chests with items. You could save a chest with all dimond tools and load it into a smp world.
There should be some sort of check or limiter or force it to load empty chests or no chests at all.

Might be possible, but inventory is server side now, so unless this requires the server to be running this mod, it can't make a server give a player items if the player doesn't have the ability to get those items through spawning. Unless I misunderstand you?
I think it works pretty simple, efficiency and usefuly: tries to create all blocks of the .schematic and only if your near enough it will be able to create.
I like bigcow200's question, if a schematic have water on it, does it uses a bucket of water or will it try to use a block of water instead? did u added any conditions for liquids?
I'm truly sure it 'places' block, chests will be placed empty .-.
A good thing to do: Make bridges. The more you walk, more done it will looks ;P
Btw, i assume your mod dont delete any blocks that are in spots of the .schematic blocks, right?
Amazing mod, great job!
Edit Can we place blocks in water? if we can, i may make a lot of underwater houses :tongue.gif:
If you could please tell me your method of installation and how it isn't working, I'd be glad to assist. In regards to other questions:
-If there is water, it will ignore it, because if it used a bucket there would be much more water flowing around than there is in the schematic.
-If there are chests, they will be placed empty no matter what is in them in the schematic.
-It does NOT delete the blocks that are in the way, the is your job--it's impossible for it to automatically delete blocks in SMP.
-It is in no way possible to, using this mod, get any extra materials or blocks.
-If you don't have the materials necessary, it will simply not build that portion of the block. I'll add something that tells you how much of each block you need in an update soon.
Ive been waiting for something like this for ages.
WOOO!

To make a .schematic file, you use a program such as MCEdit. You then select the part you wish to use as a print and click "Export schematic"
It's legit.
And what happens if a building requires water do I use a bucket?

Any other ideas?
